The Joovy Scooter X2 is a side-by-side double stroller with a 45 lb limit per seat, a 44-inch child-height limit and a discontinued product record. Its manufacturer manual is the best guide to safe use; check a specific used or remaining-stock stroller for its exact dimensions, condition and included parts before buying.
What the Joovy Scooter X2 is—and what the evidence can establish
Joovy’s instruction manual identifies this stroller as the Scooter X2 807X series. The independent CHOICE product record describes it as a side-by-side double stroller and marks it discontinued. That status does not establish whether a particular seller has remaining stock, or whether a used unit is complete or in working condition.

Will it fit your children?
The manual sets the maximum at 45 lb (20.41 kg) per seat, 90 lb total, and 44 in (111.76 cm) in child height. These are the manufacturer’s limits, not estimates based on age. A child must meet both the applicable per-seat weight and height limits.

The manual permits use from 3 months, with an important recline qualification: children aged 3–6 months must ride in the most reclined seat position. More upright seat positions are for children at least 6 months old. The seatbacks adjust independently, allowing each seat to be positioned separately within those instructions.
Dimensions, weight and doorway fit
CHOICE lists open dimensions of 113 × 75 × 92 cm (height × width × depth) and a weight of 14.6 kg. A separate reseller listing gives a width of 30 in and a weight of 32 lb. The figures are not fully aligned and may describe different versions or configurations, so treat them as source-specific rather than a definitive specification for every Scooter X2.

For a doorway check, the width is the key open measurement: compare the actual stroller’s width with the narrowest doorway or passage on your route, allowing clearance to maneuver. The CHOICE record’s 75 cm width is a useful starting point, not a guarantee that a particular unit will pass through every doorway. Ask the seller to measure the stroller you would receive and check its model label or manual. The available sources do not establish a folded dimension.
CHOICE lists basket capacity as 2.3 kg each, while the manufacturer manual caps the basket load at 5 lb (2.27 kg). For safe use, follow the lower, primary-source manual limit rather than relying on a listing figure.

How it handles and folds
- Brakes: The manual describes a linked rear-brake system that operates both rear wheels. Engage the brakes when loading or unloading, whenever stopped, and as directed by the manual.
- Front wheels: The front wheel sets can be locked or left in swivel mode.
- Recline: Seatbacks adjust independently. Both must be fully reclined to achieve the most compact fold, according to the manual.
The manual does not establish a folded size in the source information available here. If trunk or closet storage is tight, fold the actual stroller and measure it rather than assuming that “compact fold” means it will fit a particular space.

Do not hang bags from the handle: the manual warns that hanging items can alter balance and create a hazardous unstable condition. Use the restraint system, keep children clear while folding or unfolding, and do not add attachments unless Joovy specifically recommends them. Stop using a stroller that is damaged or malfunctioning.

- Identity: Confirm the model and series from the stroller’s label and compare it with the 807X manual. Ask the seller to clarify any uncertainty about version.
- Condition and operation: Inspect the frame, wheels, brakes, seatbacks, restraints, fold mechanism and canopy. Test the linked brakes and wheel lock/swivel settings, and do not buy a unit with damage or a malfunction.
- Completeness: Confirm which components are included. A reseller listing may describe a bundle, but inclusion can vary by unit; do not assume pictured accessories come with the stroller.
- Fit: Measure open width for your doorways and storage route, and check that both children fit within the manual’s limits and age/recline directions.
- Seller terms: Confirm the exact stroller’s condition, color, included pieces, return terms and price before paying. Current stock and price are not established by the product records cited here.
Replacement parts and model-specific compatibility
The manual documents components such as wheels, the linked rear-brake assembly, canopy and bumper bar, but that does not establish that each part is currently available or interchangeable across Scooter X2 versions. How to judge it against another double stroller
The available sources do not support ranking the Scooter X2 against competing strollers. For a practical comparison, use the exact unit’s measured open and folded footprint, child limits and recline guidance, lifting weight, storage restrictions, brake and wheel operation, condition, replacement-part availability and verified price. Those details matter more than a broad claim that a double stroller is “compact.”
