Johnny Silverhand’s pistol is the Malorian Arms 3516, an Iconic Power handgun you can obtain during the side job Chippin’ In. It becomes available in the Ebunike shipyard encounter with Grayson. Story spoilers for that quest follow.
Where and when you get Johnny’s pistol
The Malorian Arms 3516 is tied to Chippin’ In, not a shop purchase or a reward for choosing a particular outcome involving Johnny’s other items. You need to advance the main story far enough to unlock the side job, then reach the Ebunike and confront Grayson.

The weapon is an Iconic Power pistol that uses handgun ammunition. Power bullets can ricochet off surfaces, and the weapon’s defining move is a quick melee attack: it ignites the target and deals heavy damage, but empties every remaining round in the loaded magazine. GameStegy lists that special ability alongside the weapon’s stats.
#1 Best Overall
- Highly Articulated Figure - This highly articulated figure allows for dynamic posing, capturing David Martinez's intense and action-packed moments from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
- Premium Collectible - This 1:12 scale figure perfectly represents David Martinez's powerful presence, making it an essential addition to any Cyberpunk fan's collection. Includes alternate head sculpt, interchangeable hands, David’s pistol and swappable arm cannon.
- Soft Goods Outfit - His jacket and pants are crafted from high-quality, fabric materials, giving you an extra level of realism and flexibility when posing
- Collector Grade Packaging - Showcased in a stylish window box is a standout addition to any Cyberpunk collection
- Jada Toys - Known for their attention to detail and quality, Jada Toys delivers another must-have figure that brings Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' most iconic character to your collection.
That ammunition cost matters in practice. If you use the melee strike while the magazine is nearly full, the attack consumes more loaded rounds; if the magazine is nearly empty, it consumes fewer. Reloading afterward may interrupt your follow-up, so treat the attack as a deliberate close-range option rather than a free bonus hit.
Displayed stats and how to read them
GameStegy’s weapon reference displays the following values for the Malorian Arms 3516 at the tier represented on that page. These are game-reference figures, not real-world measurements or a promise that every tier or game build will show identical numbers.

PCGamesN’s 2020 guide gives different damage, fire-rate, ammunition-capacity and thermal-damage figures. Those older figures should not be combined with GameStegy’s displayed values as if they describe one set of stats. The references do not establish an exact balance-change history, so the discrepancy is best treated as source- and version-dependent. Your character’s perks, build, difficulty and the target’s defenses also affect how the pistol performs; the listed stats alone do not establish that it is the best choice for every player.

What the current-version notes establish
CD Projekt RED’s Update 2.3 notes are dated July 16, 2025. The listed changes do not name the Malorian Arms 3516 or document a balance adjustment to it. That makes Update 2.3 a dated reference point, not proof of the newest live game version on October 11, 2026. If you need exact values for a particular build, check the pistol’s displayed stats in your game and compare them with a reference that identifies its version and tier.
