I Kill the Bear, the new Crave Original comedy from Jared Keeso, premieres Friday, November 6, 2026. Two of its six episodes arrive on day one, followed by two more each week, according to Bell Media’s October 6, 2026 announcement.
Release date and schedule
- Premiere: Friday, November 6, 2026, on Crave.
- Format: six half-hour episodes, released two per week.
- Source check: MobileSyrup independently reported the same schedule: two episodes on the premiere date, then two weekly.
Earlier timing was vaguer. When Bell Media announced casting and production on October 1, 2025, it said only that the series would premiere on Crave in 2026, with filming underway in Sudbury, Ontario. Bell Media’s series page still says “Coming Soon”, so the October 6 release is the better source for the exact date.

What the show is about
Bell Media describes it this way: “I KILL THE BEAR is a comedy about a family of bear wranglers for film sets, and why, after 100 years, they’ve decided to make this film their last.”

They have spent much of their lives isolated in the bush. Now they are suddenly working in a Hollywood world they don’t fully understand. It is a scripted comedy, not a documentary about animal handling.
