Ivacy’s privacy policy promises not to log browsing or connection data, but that promise is not the same as independent proof. As of October 2026, Ivacy is transitioning to Ivacy Powered by PureVPN, and an independent reviewer reports it could not find a publicly available third-party no-logs audit. Your practical protection also depends on the protocol and app available on your device.
Does Ivacy keep logs?
Ivacy’s published privacy policy says it does not log or monitor browsing activity, connection logs, assigned VPN IPs, original IP addresses, browsing history, outgoing traffic, connection times, accessed data, or DNS queries. That is the company’s stated policy; it does not, on its own, demonstrate how the service’s systems operate.

The same policy says signup requires a name, email address, and payment method, with payment information handled by third-party processors. So the claim is not that Ivacy collects no information: it distinguishes account and payment information from the browsing and connection records it says it does not retain.

Ivacy’s About page makes a general claim that the service undergoes regular audits. VPNTesting.com’s Ivacy review, accessed October 7, 2026, says the reviewer could not find a published third-party no-logs audit from a recognized security firm. Those statements address different things: a general audit claim does not establish that a public report specifically examined no-logs practices.

VPNTesting.com also reports leak testing and a below-average overall verdict. Those findings belong to that outlet’s methods and test date, not to independent testing described here. A useful public audit report should identify the auditor, scope, date, and findings. App-level IP, DNS, and WebRTC leak tests and kill-switch checks should likewise identify the app, platform, version, and test method.
AV-Comparatives’ VPN Report 2020 recorded a leak-test pass and kill-switch-test pass for the Ivacy configuration it tested at that time. These are historical results for the tested configuration, not evidence that a current app or migrated account behaves the same way.

What protocols and encryption can you use?
Protocol availability varies by platform, and published descriptions do not align into one definitive specification for every current app. Security.org’s review, updated September 10, 2026, reports the following options:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
| Platform | Options reported by Security.org |
|---|---|
| Windows | OpenVPN TCP/UDP, L2TP/IPsec, and IKEv2; WireGuard is available by downloading a configuration file. |
| iOS | IKEv2 and IPsec. |
| Mac | IKEv1 only; Security.org characterizes IKEv1 as outdated and generally insecure. |
This is a reviewer’s report of the configurations it examined, not a guarantee for every app build, operating system, or migrated account. Ivacy Support separately says SSTP, L2TP, and PPTP have been discontinued and identifies OpenVPN TCP/UDP, IPsec, and IKEv2 among supported protocols. The sources therefore differ on some platform-specific details.

Ivacy’s encryption FAQ, dated November 6, 2019, says encryption depends on the selected protocol and describes a range from zero encryption to SSL/AES 256-bit. Because that FAQ is old and protocol choice affects protection, check the options in your current app and avoid configurations that are old, weak, or unencrypted. Do not assume that an encryption description applies to every protocol or device.
What does the PureVPN transition mean for current Ivacy users?
Ivacy’s current site describes the service as Ivacy Powered by PureVPN, says existing subscriptions are handled by PureVPN, and says new subscriptions are no longer available as new Ivacy subscriptions. PureVPN Support’s account-porting instructions, updated April 13, 2026, say existing accounts and add-ons are honored when ported.

- Check your account status and confirm whether it has been ported.
- Review your auto-renewal and billing settings in the account you currently use.
- Check the features and protocol choices shown in your current app rather than assuming a legacy app workflow or feature remains unchanged.
- If you rely on an add-on, confirm that it appears in the migrated account.
The published sources do not provide a complete platform-by-platform feature matrix for migrated accounts, so continuity of a particular app workflow or setting is not established for every user.

For devices that cannot run a VPN app
Ivacy’s setup guide includes manual router configuration. A VPN-compatible router can be an option for devices that cannot install an app, but confirm the specific router model’s compatibility with the current service before relying on it. No particular model is established here.
For streaming
Security.org reports that its reviewer used Netflix and other streaming sites successfully. That is a dated reviewer experience, not a guarantee of current access to a service or regional catalog; availability can change by server and over time.
What protection should you expect in practice?
Expect a provider policy that says it does not retain specified browsing and connection data, alongside account information required for signup. Do not treat that policy as proof of system behavior: the available evidence described above does not include a publicly available, named third-party no-logs report identified by VPNTesting.com.
