Zankou is a top-tier DPS option in Neverness to Everness (NTE), but current guides do not prove she is the best damage dealer in every mode or team. In a Version 1.4 tier list updated September 29, 2026, NTE Build ranks her T0 and names Zankou, Lacrimosa, Haniel, and Sakiri as its strongest current team. Linko is a credible alternative partner for Zankou, not part of that specific quartet. NTE Build’s Version 1.4 tier list is a guide publisher’s judgment, not an official ranking or a controlled damage comparison.
How strong is Zankou as a DPS?
The clearest current answer is that Zankou ranks among the strongest DPS characters, not that she is universally the single best. NTE Build places her in T0 for Version 1.4, but the page does not provide standardized damage tests across characters, modes, or investment levels. Treat T0 as that guide’s assessment rather than a measurable guarantee of superiority.

That distinction matters when choosing a pull: a high tier-list placement does not by itself establish that Zankou will outperform every alternative on your account. Team composition and investment are part of the recommendation, and the available guides do not publish a controlled numerical comparison between candidate teams.
Which teammates best support Zankou?
Zankou’s recommended partners support different parts of her damage plan. Icy Veins describes Sakiri as a DoT-focused support, Lacrimosa as an off-field DoT contributor, and Linko as a follow-up-attack partner. Icy Veins’ NTE character and team guides outline these roles, while NTE Wiki’s Zankou guide also identifies the interaction between Zankou’s Illusion basic attacks and Linko’s Synced Strikes.

Sakiri: support for DoT damage
Icy Veins describes Sakiri’s skill as amplifying damage over time while an enemy is Scorched, and identifies her as Zankou’s best support. That makes Sakiri a natural choice when building around Zankou’s Scorch and DoT plan.
Lacrimosa: off-field damage and Scorch upkeep
Lacrimosa adds DoT damage while off the field. Icy Veins says her DoTs help build Discord and maintain Scorch stacks for Zankou, letting her contribute without occupying the active role throughout the rotation.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Linko: follow-up synergy
Linko suits a follow-up-oriented approach. Icy Veins describes her Synced Strike and follow-up buffs as a fit for Zankou’s follow-up-heavy damage; NTE Wiki specifically notes the pairing between Linko’s Synced Strikes and Zankou’s Illusion basic attacks. These guides support Linko as a possible partner, but do not establish a four-character Zankou–Sakiri–Lacrimosa–Linko lineup as the best team.
What is Zankou’s strongest listed team?
The Version 1.4 team identified as strongest by NTE Build is:
Rank #3

- Zankou
- Lacrimosa
- Haniel
- Sakiri
That lineup brings together the DoT support and off-field damage roles described above, but it uses Haniel rather than Linko. Icy Veins lists a Linko/Sakiri/Zankou/Iroi Hexed composition, while its Lacrimosa and Daffodill options use other support combinations. NTE Wiki also lists Lacrimosa, Zankou, and Sakiri with Iroi or Haniel. Those are distinct team-building routes, not evidence that every named character belongs in one optimal team.
For your account, compare the options by roster ownership, whether you want to emphasize DoT, follow-up, or Break damage, and whether you can cover the support and reaction needs of the rotation. The guides recommend lineups, but do not quantify how those teams compare in damage.

Is Zankou worth pulling if you are F2P?
Potentially, but the available guides do not establish the minimum investment needed for a viable Zankou team or calculate its acquisition cost. Neverness.gg describes Zankou as a limited S-Rank character in Version 1.3 and discusses her signature Arc and Awakening investment. Neverness.gg’s Zankou build guide therefore supports a practical caution: assembling and optimizing a roster around her may demand multiple high-rarity characters or further investment. It does not show that a particular spending level is required.

What the current recommendations do—and do not—show
- They show: one current third-party Version 1.4 list rates Zankou T0, and several guides describe complementary DoT and follow-up team options.
- They do not show: an official ranking, a universal best DPS across all modes, a controlled damage comparison between teams, or a quantified minimum F2P investment.
The tier-list page was updated September 29, 2026. Icy Veins’ inspected team guidance does not show a clear patch date, and some NTE Wiki recommendations point to Version 1.3, so lineup details may not all reflect the same update. These recommendations are secondary guides rather than verified official character documentation.
