No Xbox release has been confirmed. Windows Central reported that a Brazilian classification listing briefly named Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch alongside PC and Mac for World of Warcraft: Midnight—the expansion also referred to in the rumor as “Forever”—but said the console entries disappeared within hours. The report traces the listing to a Reddit user, and the original record is not preserved in the sources available here. For now, treat this as an unverified listing, not evidence that a port is on the way.
What was reportedly listed in Brazil?
In an October 1, 2026 report, Windows Central said Reddit user “Rychillie” spotted a listing on Brazil’s Ministry of Justice classification portal on September 29. The reported platform list included Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac. Windows Central said another Reddit user later found the console entries removed within hours. The outlet linked to the portal, but the original version of the listing is not preserved in the sources reviewed here. Windows Central’s report

The alleged list itself gives reason for caution: it included PlayStation 3, an unusual platform for a new listing of this kind. Windows Central characterized a typing or data-entry mistake as very likely. That is the outlet’s interpretation, not a documented correction from Brazil’s classification authority.
What do the official and reported records say?
The ESRB entry names Mac and PC
The ESRB’s current rating page lists World of Warcraft: Midnight for Macintosh and Windows PC, with a Teen rating. That is the platform information on that page; it does not rule out a future announcement for another platform. ESRB rating record

Brazil’s process does not authenticate the removed entries
Brazil has an official game-classification process. Microsoft’s publishing guide identifies ClassInd/DJCTQ as the authority and links to its ratings portal. The guide distinguishes “Classificação Pretendida” (the rating requested) from “Classificação Sugerida” (the final assigned rating), and notes that a classification applies to the platform submitted. Those procedural details explain how the system works; they do not establish that the console entries Windows Central described were accurate. Microsoft Learn: Brazil game-rating guidance
Does Xbox controller support mean the game is coming to Xbox?
No. Windows Central reported that Midnight adds native Xbox-controller support on PC. That means gamepad play on a PC; it does not establish a version that runs on Xbox console hardware. A controller can be a way to play the PC version, but no particular controller model is described as required. Windows Central’s interview report

What has Blizzard said about consoles?
In the same September 19 interview report, Windows Central quoted game director Ion Hazzikostas saying, “Our focus remains PC,” while also leaving future possibilities open: “Our focus remains [on PC], but many possibilities exist in the future, and we’ll see where that leads us.” The comments are not a console announcement or a promise of a port. They support a PC-first reading while leaving the longer-term question unanswered. Windows Central’s interview report
How strong is the Xbox rumor?
The key distinction is between a transient entry reported by social-media users and an official, verifiable platform announcement. The available account does not preserve the original Brazilian record, the console entries were reportedly removed, and the current ESRB page names Mac and Windows PC. Taken together, those facts do not confirm an Xbox release.

- Access your favorite entertainment through apps like YouTube, Netflix, and more
- Watch 4K Blu-ray movies and stream 4K video on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Microsoft Movies & TV, and more
- Play with friends and family near and far—sitting together on the sofa or around the world on Xbox Live, the fastest, most reliable gaming network
- Xbox One games and accessories work together
- Bring your games and movies to life with immersive audio through Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
Stronger evidence would be an announcement from Blizzard or a preserved, confirmed classification record that explicitly lists Xbox hardware. Until then, the accurate answer is that a console port is unconfirmed—not that it is impossible.
