Watch Dogs: Legion is worth considering if its recruit-anyone premise, near-future London setting, or Bloodline story featuring Aiden Pearce and Wrench appeals to you. The right edition depends on whether you want only the base game or also the Season Pass content; Deluxe and Ultimate extras are mainly for players who value their specific add-ons. There is no universal verdict here: official listings describe features and contents, but they do not establish how well the game will suit your tastes.
What makes Watch Dogs: Legion distinctive?
Legion is built around recruiting and playing as people you encounter in London. Characters have different backstories, personalities, and skills, so the appeal is partly in assembling a DedSec team from the city’s residents. Ubisoft’s game listing describes this central premise.

If that system and the setting are what interest you, the Standard Edition is the direct way to try the campaign. If your main reason for considering the game is returning characters from earlier entries, compare the cost of Standard plus Bloodline with an edition that includes the Season Pass.

PlayStation displayed Ultimate for $23.99 in an offer ending October 8, 2026, at 06:59 UTC. Check your own storefront because prices, promotions, and availability change.
What is Bloodline, and is it included?
Bloodline is a prequel story expansion focused on Aiden Pearce and Wrench. Ubisoft announced that it released on July 6, 2021. It can be bought separately or accessed through the Season Pass; Gold and Ultimate listings include the Season Pass, while Standard does not.

The best value depends on the prices and edition contents shown in your region at purchase time.
Where can you play it?
The current listings reviewed include PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions and a PC listing on Steam. Ubisoft’s 2021 Bloodline announcement also named Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4, Stadia, and Amazon Luna at the expansion’s release. That historical list does not confirm that every platform or streaming service remains available today; verify the current listing for your region and intended device.

Do you need PS Plus to play online?
PlayStation describes online play as optional and says PS Plus is required for online play. Its listing supports up to eight online players. Ubisoft’s feature coverage described co-op, Tactical Ops, and Spiderbot Arena, but the information available here does not establish the current service status of online features on every platform. If you only want the solo campaign, PlayStation’s optional-online designation means online play is not required for that interest.

Check platform and storefront compatibility before buying DLC
Match add-ons to the storefront where you bought the base game. Ubisoft states that DLC bought on Ubisoft.com or Ubisoft Connect is compatible only with a base game bought through those platforms. This restriction matters when comparing a low-priced add-on with a game copy purchased elsewhere. Confirm platform, region, and digital or physical format on the product page before checkout.

So, is it worth playing today?
The strongest case is specific: you want to experiment with a team drawn from London’s residents, or you want the Aiden Pearce and Wrench story in Bloodline. For the lowest-cost entry, compare the live Standard price. Choose Gold if the Season Pass missions, heroes, Bloodline, and original Watch Dogs Complete Edition are valuable to you; choose Ultimate only if its additional pack extras justify the premium. Official store descriptions and Ubisoft’s December 2020 statement that the game was then in a “solid state” are not a substitute for independent current gameplay testing or a guarantee about today’s online-service status.
