That is the best-supported answer for the announced release. Future updates could change a game’s feature set, so treat “no co-op or PvP listed” as more precise than an absolute claim that multiplayer can never be added.

Is Valor Mortis multiplayer?
No. Valor Mortis is currently presented as a solo first-person Soulslike. Its official PlayStation product page identifies the PS5 edition as supporting one player and offline play: PlayStation’s Valor Mortis listing.

The qualification matters because a game can receive post-launch features. The publisher has announced New Game+ and additional content, but the announcements reviewed do not promise co-op or PvP. Unless a later patch note or official announcement says otherwise, buy and plan for Valor Mortis as a single-player campaign.

“Offline play enabled” should not be read as a hidden confirmation of online features. It tells you that the advertised play session works offline; it does not say that the game also supports an online component.

Can you play Valor Mortis in co-op?
There is no announced co-op mode. Nothing in the official platform description or the developer’s published game overview explains how to invite another player, join a friend’s world, revive a teammate, share progression, or match with strangers.

That distinction separates Valor Mortis from Soulslike games built around summon signs, drop-in allies, or shared boss fights. The available descriptions instead focus on the player character, William, moving through the campaign alone while using parries, dashes, weapons, and supernatural abilities. Those systems describe combat options for the protagonist; they do not establish cooperative support.
If you are deciding whether to buy it for two people to play together, assume that each person would need to play their own separate campaign. The official information does not support a shared save, a two-player story, local split-screen, or online co-op.
Does Valor Mortis have PvP?
PvP is not listed or announced. The official descriptions discuss fighting enemies and exploring the game’s world, but they do not mention arenas, invasions, duels, ranked matches, leaderboards tied to combat, or player-versus-player matchmaking.

That answer applies to the announced feature set. It does not rule out a future PvP addition, but no such addition is identified in the launch announcements or the developer’s published information.
What “offline play enabled” means for your connection
For the listed PS5 version, offline play means you can play the game without staying connected to the internet during the session. It is useful if you have an unreliable connection, play on a travel system, or prefer a self-contained campaign.
The listing does not specify whether an initial download, account sign-in, launch-day patch, or later updates are required. Those requirements can vary by platform and edition, so check the console or PC storefront’s current installation instructions before disconnecting a new copy. Offline support also does not imply that online multiplayer exists in the background.
If a future update adds an online feature, that could introduce separate connection requirements. Such a change would need to be confirmed in a current patch note or product listing; the existing offline-play label alone provides no details about it.

Does the “Online Interactions Not Rated” label mean multiplayer?
No. An online-interactions notice is a content-rating disclosure, not a promise of a game mode. It can warn that a title may include network-connected functions or user interaction without specifying co-op, PvP, chat, or matchmaking.
Use the explicit player-count and mode fields to answer the multiplayer question. In Valor Mortis’s case, the platform page says “1 player” and “Offline play enabled,” while no co-op or PvP mode is named. The rating label should not override those more specific fields.
How Valor Mortis is structured as a solo game
The developer describes Valor Mortis as a first-person Soulslike centered on combat, exploration, secrets, shortcuts, and side quests. The campaign follows William through a story-driven world rather than presenting the game as a service built around other players.
Combat systems
Official descriptions mention close-range weapons, firearms, magic or supernatural abilities, parries, and dashes. These give a solo player several ways to approach encounters and character builds. They are not described as class roles that must be divided among a party.

One More Level has described the story as approximately 20 hours. That is a developer estimate, not an independently measured completion time, and optional exploration or side quests can change the total. The estimate indicates a substantial solo campaign, but it says nothing about multiplayer support.

The publisher announced versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with day-one availability through Xbox Game Pass. A gameplay overview announcement also places the launch on October 13, 2026. You can read the publisher’s platform and launch details in its September 30 gameplay overview and its October 9 launch announcement.
The October 9 announcement also says New Game+ is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, along with additional content. Neither that announcement nor the gameplay overview identifies a cooperative or competitive mode. New Game+ normally refers to replaying a completed campaign with retained or adjusted progression; the announcement does not describe it as a multiplayer feature.
The developer’s Steam announcements provide further detail on the first-person combat, weapons, builds, exploration, and campaign. A community AMA is supplementary context, but it does not establish a multiplayer mode: the Valor Mortis developer AMA.
How to check for a multiplayer change after launch
Because online features can be added after release, use current first-party information if you are checking months later or after a major update.
- Read the current platform listing. On PlayStation, open the Valor Mortis product page and inspect the player-count and play-mode fields. A change from “1 player” or the addition of an online mode would be a meaningful update.
- Check official patch notes and announcements. Review the developer’s Steam announcements for explicit terms such as “co-op,” “multiplayer,” “PvP,” “matchmaking,” or “online.” Do not treat a general content or balance update as evidence of multiplayer.
- Separate New Game+ from multiplayer. Confirm whether an update changes solo progression only or actually allows another person to enter the session.
- Verify the edition and platform. A feature can be limited to a particular platform or arrive at a different time. Compare the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam descriptions instead of assuming that one storefront’s metadata covers every version.
