The Smeg BLF01PGAU is the pastel-green Australian version of the older 50s Style table blender, not the current BLF03PGAU. Its published specifications promise an 800 W motor, four speeds and a 1.5 L jug, but those figures do not establish how well it blends in everyday use. This is a specification-led review: I have not tested the BLF01PGAU, so performance, noise, cleaning effort and durability remain unverified.
What the BLF01PGAU is
Smeg’s catalogue identifies BLF01PGAU as the Australian Pastel Green version of its BLF01 table blender, with a glossy finish and cast-aluminium body. The catalogue record lists EAN 8017709214340. The model code matters: BLF01PGAU is an older model, while BLF03PGAU is the current pastel-green 50s Style blender listed by Smeg Australia.

This distinction is useful when checking listings, manuals or replacement parts. Confirm the full code on the appliance label rather than relying on a seller’s shortened “Smeg 50s Style blender” description. Smeg’s Australian site lists the current range; the exact code should be checked against the product and its documentation.

What Smeg says the BLF01 can do
Smeg Australia’s BLF01 specification sheet describes an 800 W motor, four speeds and a maximum speed of 18,000 rpm. It lists three functions: ice crush, smoothie and pulse. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results; they do not tell us the texture, speed or consistency the blender achieves with a particular recipe.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Jug: 1.5 L BPA-free Tritan, with a transparent lid and measuring cup. Smeg SPA’s catalogue also describes the capacity as six cups.
- Blades: detachable stainless-steel dual blade assembly.
- Controls: backlit chrome knob and four speed settings.
- Protection: safety switch-off and motor overload protection.
- Other listed details: anti-slip feet, cord wrap and a dishwasher-safe jug.
Smeg describes the motor as having a “smooth start” that begins slowly and accelerates to the selected speed. Its specification sheet also says the blender switches off if the jug is not fitted correctly or is removed from its housing during operation. These are the manufacturer’s stated features; they have not been verified here in use.
How it compares with the current BLF03PGAU
The BLF03PGAU is Smeg Australia’s current pastel-green model in the 50s Style line. Its published specifications differ from those of the BLF01; do not treat features listed for one model as features of the other.

| Published detail | BLF01PGAU | BLF03PGAU |
|---|---|---|
| Motor | 800 W, according to Smeg’s BLF01 sheet and catalogue | 600 W, according to Smeg Australia’s product page |
| Speeds | Four | Four |
| Presets or functions | Ice crush, smoothie and pulse | Smoothie, green smoothie, ice crush and autoclean |
| Jug capacity | 1.5 L | 1.5 L |
| Jug material | BPA-free Tritan, per the BLF01 specification sheet | Not stated in the cited BLF03 product-page details |
Specifications alone cannot show which model blends better. In particular, the BLF01’s higher published wattage does not prove it is faster, handles ice better or produces smoother results. The BLF03’s listed autoclean preset is a stated function, not evidence of how easy either blender is to clean. Current price, availability and warranty coverage for a particular unit depend on the seller and purchase.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat this review cannot verify
No independent hands-on test of this exact BLF01PGAU is established here. There are no verified results for smoothie texture, ice crushing, small batches, operating noise, countertop stability, cleaning effort or long-term reliability. Those questions need controlled use with a stated recipe, batch size, blend time and cleaning method; the published wattage and presets cannot substitute for that evidence.

Warranty for Australian buyers
Smeg Australia’s current warranty page lists domestic-use bench blenders under a two-year replacement warranty. An older BLF01 specification sheet, document ID211115, instead states “3 Years warranty.” Because the current local warranty page sets out the published present policy, use its two-year term as the current guidance, but check with Smeg or the seller for coverage of a specific purchase. Smeg also states that Australian Consumer Law guarantees cannot be excluded.
Check Smeg Australia’s current warranty terms and retain the receipt and product details when seeking support.

Manuals, cleaning and replacement parts
Smeg Australia’s manual lookup asks owners to enter the product code shown on the appliance label. Check that label and search using BLF01PGAU before downloading a manual, so you do not mistake instructions for a different generation. The manufacturer documents the detachable blade assembly and 1.5 L jug, but current replacement-part stock, exact part numbers and third-party compatibility are not established. Confirm fitment with Smeg or a seller before ordering a jug or blade assembly.
The specification sheet calls the jug dishwasher-safe and the blades detachable, but it does not establish the cleaning time, whether residue is difficult to remove, or the safest procedure for a specific cleaning task. Follow the manual for your exact model.

Should you buy the Smeg BLF01PGAU?
The BLF01PGAU is identifiable as the older Australian pastel-green BLF01, with a documented 1.5 L Tritan jug and a feature set that includes four speeds and three functions. That is enough to judge whether its stated capacity and controls suit your needs, but not enough to recommend it on blending performance or value. Before buying, verify the exact model code, the condition and availability of the specific unit, and the warranty that applies to that purchase. If you are actually considering Smeg’s current pastel-green model, compare the BLF03PGAU as a separate blender rather than assuming it is a refreshed BLF01 with identical specifications.
