There is no responsible yes-or-no recommendation yet. The official Helldivers 2 material available does not verify a Warbond named Scope of Authority, so its contents, tier, price, Medal costs and gameplay characteristics cannot be established. Do not infer its value from another Warbond. Check the title and item list in the game’s Acquisition Center or in a matching current announcement first; if the listing cannot be verified, keeping your Super Credits is the rational choice.
What is actually confirmed about Scope of Authority?
The name itself is unresolved. Arrowhead Game Studios’ identified support material does not name a Scope of Authority Warbond, and no matching official item list or announcement is established. That leaves the central buying questions unanswered:

| Question | What is established |
|---|---|
| Does a Warbond with this exact name have an official listing? | Not verified in the official material available. |
| What weapons, armor, boosters, capes, emotes or other items does it contain? | Not stated. |
| Is it Premium or Legendary? | Not stated. |
| How many Super Credits does it cost? | Not stated for this Warbond. |
| How many War Medals do its items require? | Not stated. |
| How do its items perform compared with existing options? | No independent test or comparative result is established. |
| Is it permanently available? | Arrowhead says existing Warbonds remain available, but that statement cannot identify or characterize an unverified title. |
Those are not minor omissions. A value judgment needs a price and a benefit to compare. Without the item list, you cannot know whether the purchase would add a weapon for your preferred missions, duplicate equipment you already use, or consist mainly of cosmetics you do not want.

Why the missing listing prevents a trustworthy verdict
“Worth it” depends on the buyer’s goal. A player seeking a particular loadout option evaluates a Warbond differently from someone collecting armor or emotes. Both decisions require the same basic facts: what is included, what it costs and how many Medals are needed to unlock the desired items. None of those Scope of Authority details is verified here.

Substituting another Warbond’s price or item quality would be misleading. Arrowhead’s general support guidance describes Warbond gear as a way to add variety rather than overpower existing gameplay options. Its wording is a design intention, not a balance test and not evidence that a particular, unverified Warbond is strong, weak or fairly priced.
Likewise, the absence of a matching listing does not prove the name is fictional. It may be a mistaken title, a regional or future reference, a community nickname, or a listing that is not present in the material checked. The safe conclusion is narrower: the identity and contents are not confirmed, so a specific purchase recommendation would be speculation.
How Warbond purchases work in Helldivers 2
Arrowhead separates access to a Warbond from unlocking the individual rewards inside it:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Super Credits are used to purchase a Warbond. Arrowhead says they can be bought or discovered through gameplay.
- War Medals are earned through gameplay and spent to unlock items within a Warbond.
Buying access therefore does not automatically grant every item. You need both the Super Credits for the Warbond and enough Medals to reach the rewards you want. The two currencies should be considered separately when you calculate value.
Arrowhead’s official “What is a Warbond?” guidance also says Warbonds remain available and can be progressed at the player’s own pace. That removes the usual documented need to buy immediately before a timer expires. Availability for the unverified Scope of Authority title still needs to be confirmed in the game or a current official announcement.
How to verify the title before spending anything
Use the game’s own catalogue as the first check. Do not rely on a video thumbnail, social post or a retailer description that does not show a matching official listing.
- Open the Acquisition Center. From the game’s main interface, enter the Warbond catalogue and look for the exact words “Scope of Authority.” Check spelling rather than assuming a similar title is the same product.
- Confirm the Warbond’s tier. Record whether the page identifies it as Premium or Legendary. The tier determines which pricing guidance applies.
- Read the purchase price shown on that page. Record the Super Credit amount displayed for your platform and region. Do not replace it with the price of a different Warbond.
- Open every page or tier that matters to you. Write down the names and types of weapons, armor, boosters, capes, emotes and other rewards you would actually use. A title alone says nothing about the practical contents.
- Note the Medal cost of each target item. Include the page or tier in which it appears. An attractive first-page reward can still require a substantial Medal progression path.
- Check the catalogue’s availability language. If the page identifies the Warbond as available without an expiration date, you can compare it calmly with other uses for your currency.
- Stop if the listing is absent or inconsistent. Do not purchase a similarly named Warbond as a substitute. Wait for a matching official listing or announcement.
This process produces the minimum evidence needed for a decision: verified identity, tier, Super Credit price, desired items and Medal requirements.

What the known pricing information does—and does not—tell you
Arrowhead’s support guidance lists ordinary Premium Warbonds at 1,000 Super Credits and distinguishes Legendary Warbonds as differently priced. That is general tier guidance, not a confirmed Scope of Authority price. If the in-game page labels the target Legendary, you should not assume the Premium figure applies.

A PlayStation US catalogue page crawled on October 13, 2026 listed a 1,000-Super-Credit pack for $9.99. That is a store-pack price observed for the US page, not a universal cash price for every country, platform or date. Store offers and regional taxes can differ, and the page’s pack price does not prove that any particular Warbond costs exactly 1,000 credits.
| Amount or rule | Qualification | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 Super Credits | Arrowhead’s general Premium Warbond guidance | Use only if the verified page identifies the target as Premium and shows the same amount. |
| Legendary pricing | Arrowhead says Legendary Warbonds are priced differently | Read the target’s own page; do not extrapolate from Premium. |
| $9.99 for 1,000 Super Credits | PlayStation US page, crawled October 13, 2026; region and platform may vary | Use as a rough US store reference for acquiring credits, not as proof of the Warbond’s price. |
| War Medals | Earned through gameplay and spent on Warbond items | Estimate the play time or missions needed for the specific rewards you want. |
Because Scope of Authority’s tier and credit price are not verified, no honest cash-cost calculation can be made for it.
A decision framework for the moment the listing is verified
Once the exact catalogue page is visible, evaluate the Warbond in this order. The framework avoids treating a large item count or a dramatic description as automatic value.
1. Start with the items you will actually equip
Make a short list of the rewards you would use in your normal missions. Separate functional items from cosmetics. A weapon that does not fit your preferred range, target types or squad role has little practical value to you even if another player considers it essential. Armor matters only insofar as its traits suit the way you play. Cosmetics can be a valid reason to buy, but count them as appearance value rather than combat value.
2. Measure overlap with your current loadouts
Compare each functional reward with the equipment already available to you. Ask whether it opens a genuinely different approach or merely duplicates an option you rarely use. A new choice can be valuable even without being stronger if it changes how you handle missions. Conversely, a near-duplicate may not justify spending scarce Super Credits.
3. Account for the Medal path, not just the headline reward
Record the Medal requirement for each item you want and the rewards that must be unlocked before reaching it. You may be willing to buy access but unwilling to spend the required Medals soon. Treat that as delayed value rather than immediate value; the purchase does not make a locked item available for free.
4. Compare the credit cost with your alternatives
Super Credits can come from purchases or gameplay discoveries. Spending them on one Warbond means not spending them on another currently available option. If you have not identified at least one reward you expect to use, preserving the credits has a clear opportunity-cost advantage.
5. Apply the variety principle correctly
Arrowhead says Warbond gear is designed to “spice up the player experience, not to overpower the options available in game.” Treat that as the developer’s stated design goal. It supports buying for variety or a preferred play style, not a promise of superior statistics. Look at the actual item descriptions and your own needs instead of expecting a guaranteed competitive advantage.

When buying would make sense
A verified Scope of Authority listing could be a sensible purchase in any of these situations:
- The catalogue contains a functional item that fills a role you regularly need and is not duplicated by your current equipment.
- You have checked the complete Medal path and can realistically unlock the rewards you want.
- The Super Credit price fits your budget and you prefer this Warbond’s items to other available uses for the currency.
- You value its cosmetics or the play-style variety enough that raw combat power is not your deciding criterion.
These are conditional criteria, not claims that the unverified title contains any of those things.
When waiting or skipping is the better choice
Wait when the identity is unclear
If “Scope of Authority” does not appear as an exact, current Warbond title in the Acquisition Center, wait. Buying another page because its name looks close does not answer the question you asked.

Skip when nothing matches your play
If the verified rewards do not fit your missions, loadouts or cosmetic preferences, the Warbond has no demonstrated value for you. Arrowhead’s variety goal does not require every player to buy every Warbond.
Skip when the Medal commitment is unrealistic
A purchase that leaves the rewards you want locked behind more Medals than you expect to earn soon may not meet your immediate goal. You can reassess later because Arrowhead describes existing Warbonds as available for progression at your own pace.
Common mistakes that produce bad buying advice
- Confusing access with completion: paying Super Credits opens the Warbond; War Medals still unlock its individual rewards.
- Using another Warbond as a proxy: a different item’s price, tier or balance cannot establish Scope of Authority’s details.
- Treating a store pack as a Warbond price: the observed US $9.99 listing is for 1,000 Super Credits, with regional and platform qualifications.
- Assuming “not time-limited” means every title is verified: Arrowhead’s availability statement applies to existing Warbonds, not an unidentified name.
- Reading design intent as a performance test: “not to overpower” is a stated goal, not independent evidence of strength or weakness.
- Buying under artificial urgency: the official description of permanent availability means you should verify the contents before spending rather than rushing.
How to document your own comparison
A small note on your phone is enough. For each verified Warbond, record the exact title, tier, Super Credit price, the two or three rewards you want, their Medal costs and the missions or loadouts in which you would use them. Add a final line explaining what you would give up by spending the credits now. This makes comparisons concrete and prevents a striking cosmetic or marketing phrase from outweighing the rest of the catalogue.

Current answer
As of the available official evidence, Scope of Authority is not verified well enough to call worth buying. Its identity, contents, tier, cost and Medal requirements remain unknown. The only defensible action is to verify the exact listing in the Acquisition Center or a matching current Arrowhead announcement, then apply the item-fit, Medal and opportunity-cost checks above. Until those facts exist, keep your Super Credits and do not substitute another Warbond’s details.
