The “Tip Toein’ in My Jordans” Rumpelstiltskin clip is an AI-generated fantasy-film pastiche, not footage from the 1987 Rumpelstiltskin movie or another identified old film. The video appeared online in late August 2026; a late-September edit paired it with Riff Raff’s “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz” and helped turn it into a reaction meme.
What happens in the video?
A small, Rumpelstiltskin-like figure dances for a woman in a barn, turns straw into gold, and becomes a prince after she kisses him. The scene borrows the fairy tale’s imagery but does not follow the story exactly. Its aged, fantasy-movie look is part of what made some viewers wonder whether they had stumbled across a real film scene.

Where did the Rumpelstiltskin video come from?
Know Your Meme traces the base clip to August 27, 2026, when accounts associated with Stroinaya, Neuroferma, and Anna Glinskaya posted it. Its entry links a post attributed to Tatyana Tereshchenko, also known as @stroinaya; NBC News likewise identifies Tereshchenko as the original poster. Neither source identifies the clip as a scene from an existing movie.
The meme version took shape later. In late September, TikToker @6aimbot9 paired the clip with Riff Raff’s “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz” and the caption, “The type of dreams I be having after taking dollar store melatonin.” That song-and-caption combination became a recognizable way to share the clip.

Why does it look like an old movie?
The clip’s realistic, aged fantasy-film styling led some viewers to search for its supposed source, with some associating it with the 1987 Rumpelstiltskin film. The available reporting documents that confusion, but does not establish one measured psychological explanation for why people found the video unsettling. Its uncanny appearance is a plausible contributor, not a proven single cause.
How did the meme spread?
By early October 2026, the format was circulating on TikTok, X, and Instagram Reels. People used it as a captioned reaction to foolish dancing, distraction, or an especially strange response to a situation. Other edits replaced Rumpelstiltskin with fictional characters or public figures; those substitutions are edits, not evidence that the characters appeared in the original AI clip.
