Google’s specifications make a qualified case for calling the Pixel 11 Pro a “world phone”: they list broad cellular-band support and a nano-SIM plus eSIM. But that does not mean it will connect everywhere. The exact regional model, the destination carrier and your plan all matter.
What “world phone” means for the Pixel 11 Pro
“World phone” is a useful shorthand for a device with radio support spanning many markets—not a guarantee of service in every country or on every network. Google says 5G is unavailable on some carrier networks and in some areas, and that performance depends on carrier capability and signal strength. A supported band is only one part of the compatibility picture.

Google’s US and Malaysia specifications also show why it is important to check the device’s regional model rather than assume every Pixel 11 Pro has identical radios.

US models: G7SWN and GBC0H
Google lists both US variants with GSM/EDGE quad-band support; UMTS bands 1, 2, 4 and 5; and LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 40, 41, 48, 66 and 71. Their listed Sub-6 5G bands are 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 40, 41, 48, 66, 70, 71, 77 and 78. Both variants also list mmWave bands 258, 260 and 261. Google’s US specifications identify these variants as G7SWN and GBC0H.

Malaysia models: GM45K and G4HCD
Google’s Malaysia specifications list Sub-6 models GM45K and G4HCD, with broad overlapping GSM, UMTS and LTE support. The listed Sub-6 bands differ from the US configuration in some entries, and the Malaysia page notes FeliCa. It does not list the US variants’ mmWave bands, so do not assume the Malaysia configuration is identical to the US one. Google’s Malaysia specifications describe those regional models.
Will your Pixel 11 Pro work abroad?
It may, but the band list alone cannot settle the question. A phone can support a frequency that a local operator does not use, does not permit that model to access, or does not include in a roaming arrangement. 5G access can also depend on the carrier and plan; Google says 5G requires a separately sold data plan and is not available on all networks or in all areas.

Google’s specifications do not establish compatibility for every country, carrier, roaming agreement or travel eSIM provider. Check with the operator you intend to use, using the exact model number of your phone. Google likewise directs customers to contact their carrier for details. Its Pixel phone specifications and network guidance identifies Pixel 11 phones as 2026 devices and lists the Pixel 11 Pro’s SIM configuration.
Check these details before a trip
- Find your exact model number. Confirm whether your phone is a US model such as G7SWN or GBC0H, or a regional version such as GM45K or G4HCD. Do not rely on the product name alone.
- Compare the destination carrier’s requirements. Ask the carrier whether it supports your exact model for the LTE and 5G service you need. Matching bands do not by themselves guarantee network access.
- Confirm your plan and roaming terms. Check whether data roaming and 5G are included, whether extra charges apply, and whether service is available where you will be.
- Verify eSIM provisioning before purchase. Google lists one nano-SIM and eSIM, but that does not confirm that a particular travel eSIM provider supports your model or destination. Ask the provider about activation and coverage for your exact device.
Does the Pixel 11 Pro support a travel eSIM?
Google lists the Pixel 11 Pro with a single nano-SIM and eSIM. That establishes device-level eSIM support, not compatibility with every eSIM service. Before buying a plan, confirm that the provider supports your regional model and that its service covers your destination; also check activation requirements and the plan’s roaming and data terms.
