The OPPO Find X8 Pro is a large, camera-focused Android flagship whose strongest argument is versatility: four 50MP rear cameras include both 3x and 6x telephoto options, alongside a bright 120Hz display and a high-capacity battery with fast wired and wireless charging. The trade-offs are its 215g size, image processing that may not suit every taste, and launch-era software support that was shorter than some rival promises. It makes the most sense if you value camera reach and screen area more than compact handling.
What makes the Find X8 Pro different?
Rather than relying on one main camera and aggressive digital zoom, the Find X8 Pro gives you four rear cameras, each listed at 50MP: an ultra-wide, a main camera, a 3x telephoto and a 6x ultra-telephoto. That gives it more distinct framing options than a phone whose zoom range depends mostly on cropping.

The configuration is the phone’s clearest differentiator, but matching resolutions do not mean identical images. Each lens has different optics and stabilization, and the available evidence does not establish that every camera produces the same color, detail or low-light results. Treat 6x as a useful optical framing option, not a promise of main-camera quality in every condition. Higher magnification modes are a separate proposition: Tom’s Guide describes a maximum 120x mode, but that should not be confused with optical zoom.
How good are the cameras in practice?
Four focal lengths for more kinds of shots
The India model’s listed rear cameras are a 50MP ultra-wide with a 120-degree field of view, a 50MP main camera with two-axis optical image stabilization, and 50MP 3x and 6x telephoto cameras, also listed with two-axis stabilization. A 32MP front camera handles selfies. This gives you practical choices for broad scenes, everyday photos and distant subjects without always having to move physically or crop heavily.

OPPO’s India specifications list rear and front 4K video at 30 or 60 frames per second. OPPO’s global page advertises 4K 60fps Dolby Vision recording across cameras. Because features can differ by region and software version, check what the local model and installed software actually support before buying for a specific video workflow.
Rendering is a matter of taste
In Tom’s Guide’s scene-specific comparisons, the reviewer described OPPO’s processing as more dramatic, with darker shadows and brighter highlights than the Pixel 9 Pro XL. In one comparison involving 3x shots and the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the reviewer preferred the Pixel’s color; in building shots at 5x/6x, the OPPO picked up slightly more detail. Those are observations from selected scenes, not a universal ranking or a controlled test.
If natural-looking color or consistent HDR is a priority, compare sample images from the actual focal lengths you use most. The 3x and 6x cameras add useful coverage, but they do not guarantee the same look as the main camera, especially as light falls.

The India-listed CPH2659 has a 6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 2780 × 1264 resolution and a maximum 120Hz refresh rate. OPPO lists a typical peak brightness of 4500 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i. The brightness figure is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee of sustained brightness in every app or condition. Tech Advisor praised the display’s color and outdoor readability, and described its edges as gently curved while the panel felt almost flat.

That viewing area comes in a phone listed at about 215g and 16.23cm tall. It is better suited to people who enjoy a large screen for photos, video and general use than to anyone seeking a small, light handset. Tech Advisor reviewer Luke Baker wrote that it was more comfortable in the hand than flatter iPhone-like designs, while still feeling modern; that is a subjective handling impression, not a substitute for trying the size yourself.
How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?
OPPO India lists a 5910mAh typical capacity and 5770mAh rated capacity, with 80W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. OPPO notes that maximum charging output can vary with region and input voltage, so the listed speeds depend on the compatible charging setup and local configuration.
In its 2024 review, 91mobiles reported more than a day of use in default balanced mode and over 12 hours in its PCMark battery test. It also measured 49 minutes to charge from 20% to 100% using the listed 80W speed. These are results from that publication’s review unit and test conditions, not a guarantee of your screen time or charging time.
Wireless magnetic charging requires an accessory: the phone does not have magnets built in, according to Tech Advisor. OPPO India lists a magnetic case and charger as accessories. Check the local box contents before buying accessories; a magnetic setup requires the compatible case.

What should you know about software, durability and controls?
Software support and regional software
OPPO’s India specification page lists ColorOS 15.0 and a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor; 91mobiles said its review unit ran Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The reviewed phone was reported to have a five-year OS-update and six-year security-update commitment. Tom’s Guide reported the same launch-era terms and noted that Google and Samsung had then-current seven-year promises. This is a comparison of policy reporting at launch, not a statement of current patch status or rollout timing. Check OPPO’s current support terms for your region.
Water and dust resistance
OPPO claims IP68/IP69 protection based on controlled laboratory tests. Its global specifications describe IP68 testing as still-water submersion at 1.5m for 30 minutes under specified conditions, and IP69 testing as hot-water jets at 80 ± 5°C and 15 ± 1 L/min for two minutes across four jet angles. OPPO warns that resistance can decline with wear and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. These ratings are not permission to deliberately expose the phone to water, or to charge it while wet.
Physical camera controls
The Quick Button can act as a camera shortcut and shutter control, with swipe gestures for zoom and burst capture described by Tom’s Guide. Tech Advisor’s reviewer found its functions limited, including no customization at review time; both reviewers considered it less capable than Apple’s Camera Control. The phone also has a three-position alert slider.

Specifications are region-specific. OPPO India lists model CPH2659 in Space Black and Pearl White, with 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Its listed 5G bands are n1/n2/n3/n5/n7/n8/n12/n20/n25/n26/n28/n38/n40/n41/n66/n75/n77/n78. Do not assume an imported or differently marketed Find X8 Pro has the same bands, configuration, warranty or included accessories; confirm the exact model with the seller and your carrier.

Availability has also varied by market. Tom’s Guide reported UK sales beginning November 21, 2024, at £1,049 for the 16GB/512GB version, and said the phone was not sold in the United States at that time. Those are historical launch conditions, not a current price or a reliable guide to present stock. Verify local availability, warranty coverage and price before purchasing.
Who should buy the OPPO Find X8 Pro?
Choose it if you want a large display and a camera system with real telephoto range, particularly the flexibility of separate 3x and 6x cameras. Its battery capacity and charging options also make it compelling for people who prefer fewer charging interruptions and have compatible equipment.
Look elsewhere if a light, compact phone is essential, if you strongly prefer another brand’s image rendering, or if long-term software support is your deciding factor. Before buying, compare photos from the focal lengths you use most and check the local SKU, carrier bands, warranty and support terms. Launch reviews are useful for understanding the hardware and reviewer experience, but they cannot establish current price, stock or firmware status.
