Those are Onebed’s product claims, not independently verified performance findings: no hands-on test or independent comfort or durability evidence is established here. For Australian shoppers, the more concrete decision points are the mattress’s design, base requirements, trial conditions and warranty wording.
What is the Onebed Original 11-inch?
Onebed describes the Original as an 11-inch mattress with adjustable firmness, a five-zone support layer, motion isolation and cooling features. These are manufacturer descriptions; they do not establish how the mattress will feel for a particular sleeper or how it will perform over time. The product page presents the Original as a taller-profile option in Onebed’s range. Onebed Original 11-inch product page

Onebed’s mattress collection states that its mattresses support up to 300 kg, but does not clarify whether that figure applies to one sleeper or the combined load. Treat it as a collection-level specification, not a confirmed per-person limit. Onebed mattress collection

The Original’s adjustable-firmness design is its clearest point of differentiation in the supplied product information. It may appeal if you want the option to alter the feel rather than commit to one fixed firmness. The five-zone support layer is also described by Onebed, but the published information does not independently establish pressure relief, spinal alignment or suitability for a specific body type or sleep position.

Motion isolation and cooling are also product-page claims, not test findings. If those are decisive factors, look for a way to assess the mattress under the actual conditions that matter to you and read the trial terms before purchase; customer testimonials are individual experiences, not a substitute for controlled testing.
How does the 125 night trial work?
Onebed advertises a 125-night trial, but it is conditional rather than an unrestricted return window. The trial policy requires you to use the mattress for at least 30 nights and contact Onebed within 125 days of purchase. It also requires proof of purchase and the mattress to be in reasonable condition for donation; stains, tears, soiling and odours are examples of issues that can make it ineligible. If eligible, Onebed arranges collection and processes a refund after collection. Onebed 125 Night Trial policy

- SPACE-SAVING DESIGN – Compact profile ideal for smaller rooms, guest beds, or tighter spaces
- BONNELL COIL SUPPORT – Hourglass-shaped coils deliver firm, reliable support
- TIGHT-TOP CONSTRUCTION – Smooth, stable surface for consistent comfort throughout the night
- PRESSURE RELIEF – Foam layers help reduce pressure points for better alignment
- COMPACT PACKAGING– Arrives compressed for convenient setup and expands to full size within 72 hours after unboxing
- The policy limits trial coverage to two mattresses per household.
- Mattresses bought outside Onebed’s website are excluded, as are mattresses discounted through its referral system.
- You may exchange once for another model or size; you pay any difference in price.
Onebed’s warranty page says that an unsatisfied customer may receive a refund and that the company will arrange collection and donation, but eligibility conditions apply, including the 30-night minimum and reasonable-condition requirement. Read the trial policy associated with your purchase rather than treating the headline trial length as a guarantee of a return in every circumstance. Onebed warranty policy
What is the Original’s warranty?
Onebed’s model-specific warranty page states that the Original has a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty. It lists specified defects, including a visible indentation greater than 20 mm, subject to the policy’s conditions and exclusions. The remedy described is repair or replacement; that is different from a refund under the trial policy. Onebed warranty policy

There is conflicting warranty wording on Onebed’s own site: its general terms state that a new mattress receives a 15-year warranty, while the model-specific Original warranty page says 10 years. Onebed X product-page warranty copy is also inconsistent with its model-specific warranty information. Check the warranty terms attached to the exact mattress and purchase before ordering rather than assuming the broader period applies to the Original. Which bed base is suitable?
Onebed says a base that permits airflow is suitable and recommends slats; it also mentions breathable mesh-style bases. Check the dimensions and support of your existing frame against the mattress size and your setup. The collection page does not establish that every slatted or mesh base will fit or be compatible. Who should consider the Onebed Original?
- Consider it if adjustable firmness is important to you, you are comfortable buying direct, and the stated trial and warranty conditions work for your household.
- Look more closely before buying if you need independent comfort or durability results, rely on a specific firmness or cooling outcome, or need certainty about the warranty term. The available product descriptions and testimonials do not establish those outcomes.
- Check your setup first if you have an unusual base or need to interpret the 300 kg collection specification for a particular sleeper or combined load; Onebed’s published information does not resolve those details.
Overall, the Original is best assessed as a mattress with an adjustable-firmness feature and a detailed but conditional trial—not as a proven comfort or durability choice. Confirm the applicable warranty and make sure your bed base and return circumstances fit Onebed’s written policies before purchasing.
