The Motorola Edge (2025) could be a strong mid-range buy if its live price is genuinely discounted, but the available October 6, 2026 deal report gives conflicting discount amounts and does not establish a reliable checkout price or record-low. Check the current listing and its terms before deciding. The U.S. unlocked model to look for has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage; its original U.S. MSRP was $549.99.
What the Prime Day report does—and does not—establish
PhoneArena reported an Amazon Prime Big Deal Days promotion for the Motorola Edge (2025) on October 6, 2026. Its text gives two different discount figures—$200 in one passage and $250 in another—and does not provide a dependable exact checkout price. That is not enough to substantiate a precise current price or a “lower-than-ever” or all-time-low claim.

Motorola announced a $549.99 U.S. unlocked MSRP in May 2025 and named Best Buy, Amazon.com, and Motorola.com as initial retailers. That is the historical launch price, not proof of the phone’s current price or value. Before buying, check the live listing and a reliable price-history source; compare the final checkout total rather than relying on a headline discount.
Check the listing before checkout
- Confirm it is the Motorola Edge (2025), not another year’s model.
- Match the U.S. unlocked 8GB RAM/256GB storage configuration described by Motorola and reviewed by Android Central.
- Check the seller, item condition, stock, shipping cost, return terms, and whether a carrier plan or trade-in is required.
- Compare the final price with the phone’s ordinary selling price and current alternatives. A claimed discount from the original MSRP alone does not establish a good deal.
What you get in the U.S. unlocked model
The Edge (2025) is built around a large curved 6.7-inch Super HD pOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Android Central lists its resolution as 2712 × 1220. The U.S. configuration has a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage.

Motorola says the 5,200mAh battery can provide two days of power and claims its 68W TurboPower charger can add a day’s charge in six minutes. Treat those as manufacturer claims, not guaranteed results for every user. Android Central says the 68W wired charger is not included; Motorola says wireless charging equipment is sold separately.
Is it worth buying?
Android Central’s review praises the phone’s design, camera improvements, battery life, charging, and durability, while identifying processor speed and the strength of Motorola’s update commitment as drawbacks. Those are the reviewer’s judgments, not a universal consensus. The curved screen also looks distinctive, but Android Central notes it can be harder to protect with a tempered-glass screen protector.

The Edge (2025) makes the most sense for someone who wants a large, smooth display, substantial built-in storage, a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera, and both wired and wireless charging. It is less compelling if fast performance or a particularly strong software-update commitment is your priority. Check Motorola’s current update policy before relying on a specific period of future support.

The October 6 deal report says the Edge (2025) has a larger 6.7-inch display and 256GB storage, compared with a 6.3-inch display and 128GB configuration for the Edge (2026) it discusses. That is only a limited comparison; it does not establish which phone is better overall. Confirm the exact model and storage in any listing, then compare price, performance, software support, screen size, and charging for the specific versions available to you.

Water resistance is not waterproofing
Motorola’s guide cautions against intentional submersion and says to avoid salt water and liquids other than fresh water, as well as prolonged exposure. If the phone gets wet, dry the device and its ports; do not charge it while wet. Drops, punctures, or scratches can affect water resistance, so an IP rating is not a promise that every device will remain protected in every circumstance.
