Kmart’s current 400W model is SKU 43468751, and its listing gives conflicting low-speed runtime figures. CHOICE’s public information covers different Anko models; its detailed ratings are not visible publicly. Match the SKU before relying on any specification or test result.
Which Kmart Anko vacuum is this review about?
“Anko cordless stick vacuum” is not a unique model name. Kmart’s current Australian listing identifies a 400W Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, SKU 43468751. CHOICE has public pages for an Anko cordless stick vacuum and a separate model numbered 42742678. Their specifications and included accessories differ, so neither older model should be treated as the current Kmart SKU. Check the number on the product label, packaging, manual or listing before applying a review finding or buying a replacement part.

How long does the current model run?
Kmart’s listing does not give one consistent low-speed runtime. It states 65 minutes in its speed-by-speed use-time figures, but elsewhere says the maximum on low is 45 minutes. Those claims conflict, so a definitive runtime cannot be established from the listing. Ask Kmart to clarify which figure applies to SKU 43468751 or look for an independent test of that exact SKU before basing a purchase on runtime.

What does independent testing tell us?
CHOICE’s public product pages identify specifications and warranty details, but mark Expert Ratings and task scores as members-only. The accessible pages therefore do not establish a public numerical test score for these models.

What should you consider before buying?
Choose by cleaning task and floor type
A vacuum that performs well on a car interior or pet hair may not be equally effective on every floor or household mess. The available public CHOICE pages do not reveal task scores for the current SKU, and older Anko models’ results do not fill that gap. Consider your own mix of hard floors, carpet, stairs, furniture, car cleaning and pet hair rather than treating motor wattage or battery voltage as a performance score.
Balance capacity, weight and accessories
The current Kmart listing specifies a 0.5 L canister and 3.7 kg product weight. Check whether that capacity and weight suit the rooms and surfaces you clean, and whether the included nozzle covers your needs. Do not assume the wall mount, stand, powered heads or other accessories listed for CHOICE’s older models come with the current Kmart product.

Check warranty and compatible parts
Kmart lists a 12-month warranty for SKU 43468751. CHOICE’s comparison reported historical replacement prices of $68 for the battery in its $149 Anko Cordless Stick Vacuum and $55 for the battery in its $129 Cordless Stick Cleaner; it also described filters ranging from $2 for foam to $15 for stainless-steel mesh. CHOICE noted replacement crevice tools, dust canisters, floor heads and adaptors, and said it could not see spare parts for some ultra-cheap vacuums. These are older model-specific figures, not current quotes or evidence of compatibility with SKU 43468751. Confirm the exact model and part number with the seller before purchasing a part. CHOICE’s comparison article.
Is the Kmart Anko cordless stick vacuum worth buying?
It is a cautious, model-dependent choice rather than an independently verified recommendation. The current listing gives a useful set of headline specifications, but its runtime claims conflict, and publicly accessible CHOICE material does not provide detailed ratings for SKU 43468751. If you are considering it, confirm the SKU, ask about the runtime discrepancy, and assess the weight, capacity, included tools and exact-model parts availability against the cleaning jobs you need it to handle. Kmart also says the product is intended for household use and tested to applicable Australian electrical safety standards and certified as compliant; that statement is Kmart’s, and the certification was not independently inspected here.
