The public listing does not establish whether this SKU has a touchscreen, what its battery capacity is, or what the USB-C ports support beyond their presence. It also does not identify the screen finish. Those details should be confirmed against the exact model documentation or retailer listing rather than inferred from another OmniBook 5.
What can—and cannot—be concluded about performance?
There is no publicly available measured performance score or battery-life result for the 16-ag1012AU in CHOICE’s listing. Although the page names test categories including performance, battery life, display, audio, Wi-Fi and storage, the scores and expert comments are members-only. That leaves no sound basis for claiming a particular runtime, benchmark result or workload capability for this exact Australian SKU.

A separate RTINGS review of a 2026 OmniBook 5 16 tested a different configuration: Ryzen AI 5 430, Radeon 840M, 16GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD. RTINGS described that unit as responsive for everyday browsing, documents and moderate multitasking, but limited in heavily multithreaded work. It also reported an OLED screen, reflections, weak speakers and more than 12 hours of light web browsing on its tested unit. These findings provide only family-level context; they are not results for the 16-ag1012AU. See RTINGS’ review of its 2026 configuration.

CHOICE labels the 16-ag1012AU “Discontinued model.” Its page, accessed in 2026, displays A$1,899, but that is a listing figure—not a verified live offer. Exact-SKU stock and a current price are unverified, so check both with a retailer before treating the laptop as available at that amount.
Australian comparison pages show other OmniBook 5 16-inch configurations, not proof that the 16-ag1012AU is in stock. BuyWisely’s price data was last updated 12 August 2026 and includes an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 / 32GB / 512GB model at Amazon Australia, a refurbished Ryzen AI 5 340 / 16GB / 512GB offer at HP Store Australia, and a Ryzen AI 5 340 / 16GB / 1TB offer at Harvey Norman. Getprice also lists multiple OmniBook 5 variants through Australian retailers, including Amazon AU. Consult BuyWisely’s Australian comparison and Getprice’s OmniBook 5 16-inch listings, then verify the model number and listing details: retailer offers can differ in condition and specifications.
How to compare a current alternative
OmniBook 5 16-inch models share a family name but can differ substantially. RTINGS documents variants with IPS or OLED displays, different processor families, DDR5 or onboard LPDDR5x memory, SSD capacities from 256GB to 1TB, and 59Wh or 68Wh batteries. Not every combination is offered, and those family-level options do not establish the 16-ag1012AU’s specifications.
Before choosing a different listing, compare the details that affect day-to-day use and value:
- Exact model and processor: confirm the SKU and CPU; do not assume a Ryzen AI 5 340 listing is otherwise identical.
- Graphics and memory: check the integrated GPU, RAM capacity and whether the memory can be upgraded.
- Screen: verify panel type, resolution, brightness, refresh rate, finish and touch support for that exact configuration.
- Storage and battery: compare SSD capacity and documented battery capacity rather than borrowing figures from a sibling model.
- Ports and support: confirm port capabilities, warranty coverage and whether the unit is new or refurbished.
- Price and terms: check current stock, total price, return window and seller-specific conditions.
For a review of a separate 16-inch OmniBook 5 configuration, Which?’s review page uses the reader-facing question “Should I buy it?” Its tested configuration is different, so its findings should not be assigned to the 16-ag1012AU.
