- Selectable zone: The product sheet names this feature but does not fully specify its available modes. A Singapore page describes temperature modes for the different R-VX410PMS9 model; those details should not be assumed to apply to the PT9BSL without a matching manual.
- Triple Power Filter: Hitachi says the filter removes seven named odour components. The brochure also reports “99% sterilised after 24 hours” for bacteria trapped in the filter, citing the Boken Quality Evaluation Institute and the JISZ2801 film adhesion method. Hitachi specifies that this result was achieved using the filter alone; it is not evidence that the whole refrigerator sterilises food or provides a medical benefit.
- Other listed equipment: no-frost operation, LED lighting, tempered-glass shelves, a movable twist ice tray and a mouldproof door gasket.
The filter listing does not establish that a replacement is currently available or designed for consumer replacement. The available manual listing says maintenance should be performed at a workshop by well-trained maintenance personnel. Check the manual and local service options before assuming a filter or other part can be fitted at home.
Will it fit your kitchen?
Hitachi gives cabinet dimensions of 1,605 mm high × 650 mm wide × 720 mm deep, with a depth of 614 mm without the door. The brochure says ventilation space is required, so the cabinet measurements alone are not a complete installation clearance.

CHOICE lists recommended installation dimensions of 166 cm high × 75 cm wide × 77 cm deep. Use that larger envelope as a practical planning allowance, then consult the official installation instructions for the required clearances in your market. Measure the entire delivery route—including doorways, turns and stairs—not just the space where the refrigerator will stand.

How much energy does it use, and what warranty did Hitachi state?
Hitachi’s March 2021 brochure states annual energy consumption of 308 kWh. CHOICE also lists 308 kWh/year and a four-star energy rating for its Australian listing. These published figures do not predict your household’s exact consumption, which can vary with use and installation conditions.

The brochure states a five-year parts-and-labour warranty, plus five additional years of parts coverage for the inverter compressor. These are terms stated in a 2021 document, not a guarantee of coverage for a purchase today. Confirm the applicable warranty in your country, including the purchase-date conditions and whether labour is covered for any compressor repair.
What do independent reviews establish?
CHOICE lists the R-VX410PT9BSL as discontinued, gives its test year as 2022, and shows a listed price of A$1,099. That price is not current pricing. The accessible page identifies Denis Gallagher as a senior project officer for digital home products who works on refrigerator-lab test projects, but its expert rating, pros, cons and detailed results—including temperature, freshness, noise and running-cost findings—are member-only.

Before buying old stock or a used unit, check the model suffix and finish, inspect the appliance’s condition, measure installation and delivery clearances, and ask the seller or manufacturer whether warranty coverage and authorised service are available where you live.
