No—not in the sense of a camera Fujifilm guarantees against dust ingress. Fujifilm describes an optional weather-resistant setup for the X100V: an AR-X100 adapter ring with a PRF-49 or PRF-49S protective filter installed on it. The company’s materials do not give the X100V an IP dust rating or promise that it is dustproof in every environment.
What Fujifilm means by weather-resistant
Fujifilm’s UK product listing calls the accessory combination a “Weather-Resistant Kit” and says it adds weather resistance to the X100V. That is a qualified claim about the setup—not an assurance of complete protection from dust or water. The official information cited here provides no IP ingress-protection rating or quantitative dust-test result.

Fujifilm’s X100V compatibility listing identifies the AR-X100 and protective filters as compatible. The X100V owner’s manual also allows third-party filters after the adapter ring. That permission does not mean Fujifilm certifies every third-party filter combination as equivalent to its named kit.
How to install the named parts
- Remove the camera’s front ring as described in the owner’s manual.
- Attach the FUJIFILM AR-X100 adapter ring in its place.
- Fit a PRF-49 or PRF-49S protective filter to the adapter ring.

Do the X100V’s operating specifications give it a dust rating?
No. Fujifilm lists an operating temperature range of 0°C to +40°C and humidity of 10% to 80% without condensation in its X100V technical specifications. These are operating conditions, not an IP rating or evidence of a particular level of dust ingress protection.

What should owners do in dusty conditions?
- Use the complete AR-X100-plus-filter setup if you want the specific weather-resistant configuration Fujifilm describes.
- Do not interpret “weather-resistant” as a promise that the camera can withstand fine dust, sand, or every wet condition.
- Limit exposure to blowing dust and sand, and avoid changing or removing accessories where particles can reach the front of the camera.
- Check the manual for handling and cleaning guidance rather than assuming the kit makes the camera safe to clean or use in any environment.
