Fisher & Paykel’s Quick Reference Guide dated 10 September 2025 lists dimensions of 315 mm high × 830 mm wide × 280 mm deep. These are published product dimensions, not an independent measurement. Before ordering, compare them with your cabinet opening and installation plan, and check clearances and installation requirements in the guide for your market.

How much air does it move, and how loud is it?
The manufacturer guide lists maximum air movement of 780 m³/hr and a maximum sound rating of 65 dBA, alongside four fan speeds. These figures describe maximum ratings; they do not tell you the airflow or sound level at each speed, or establish how the hood performs in a particular kitchen. For a practical decision, ask the installer to confirm that the planned duct route and installation suit your cooking area. A maximum airflow number by itself cannot establish the extraction you will experience after installation.

Yes. The installation guide lists ducted top extraction and optional top-extraction recirculation. Recirculation requires the separately listed carbon filter, part 792481; the guide says no recirculation diverter is required. Confirm with the installer that the chosen configuration and parts suit your kitchen and local market before purchase.

What are the filters and maintenance like?
The guide lists two dishwasher-safe filters and a filter-cleaning alert. The Australia product page identifies aluminium filter 792943 as included and lists carbon filter 792481 separately for recirculation. Check the product listing and supplied documentation in your market to confirm the parts in the box and the maintenance instructions.

Verdict: who should consider it?
The HP90IDCHX3 is worth considering if you want a concealed 90cm insert and your cabinetry and extraction plan can accommodate it.
