The Clark Rubber Comfort Platinum Latex is presented as an Australian-made mattress with a medium-density latex layer, a removable machine-washable cover and suitability for everyday or caravan use. Those are retailer claims, not independently verified findings. The visible independent information gives physical specifications for the queen size, but not a public test score or recommendation. Before buying, check the mattress dimensions against your bed, confirm delivery costs and get the warranty terms in writing.
What the Comfort Platinum Latex is—and what is verified
Clark Rubber describes this model as Australian-made and says it contains a medium-density layer of pure latex. It also says the cover can be removed and machine washed, and promotes the mattress for everyday use and caravan settings. These statements describe the retailer’s product claims; the available independent information does not establish the latex composition, durability, allergy performance or comparative comfort. Clark Rubber references a Product Care Guide, but its contents were not available in the product information reviewed.

CHOICE identifies the queen as a foam mattress and lists its claimed firmness as firm. That firmness label should not be treated as a measurement of the retailer’s “medium-density” latex layer: density and claimed firmness are different descriptions. CHOICE’s expert rating and detailed test dimensions are not visible publicly, so they cannot support a test-score-based verdict.

Is it a sensible choice for a caravan?
It may suit a caravan only if the dimensions and mattress construction work with that specific bed base and available space. For the queen, start with CHOICE’s listed dimensions of 202 × 152 × 17.5 cm, then measure the usable bed area rather than relying on a nominal “queen” label. Also check whether the mattress can be carried through the caravan’s access points and whether its 22 kg weight is manageable for installation.
Clark Rubber says the mattress is suitable for caravan use, and one retailer customer review describes using a queen in a caravan. Neither claim establishes fit or comfort across different caravan layouts. Confirm measurements and practical access before purchase.

What the sources establish about comfort and alternatives
The visible evidence is not enough to determine whether this mattress will feel comfortable to a particular sleeper or outperform memory foam. Clark Rubber’s medium-density latex description and CHOICE’s firm claimed-firmness label offer limited guidance, but neither substitutes for a detailed public independent test result. The available CHOICE page identifies the mattress category and specifications while restricting its expert rating and test details to members.
If comparing it with another mattress, use concrete points: materials and construction as stated by each seller, stated firmness, thickness and dimensions, current price, available sizes, warranty wording, trial or return conditions, and delivery charges. Do not assume that another model in Clark Rubber’s range—or a memory-foam alternative—has been independently shown to be more comfortable or durable.

Resolve the warranty conflict before ordering
Clark Rubber’s product pages show a “1 year warranty” badge but also state “5-year warranty” in the specifications. The available information does not resolve which duration applies or provide authoritative terms. Ask Clark Rubber to confirm the applicable warranty period and conditions for the exact size and purchase, preferably in writing, before paying.
Who should consider it?
- Consider it if the listed construction claims and current price suit your needs, you can verify the fit for your bed, and the retailer confirms delivery and warranty terms.
- Look further if you need public independent comfort or durability results, evidence for allergy-related benefits, or a clearly documented warranty before choosing.
- For caravan use, treat fit as a measurement question: compare the actual mattress dimensions with the usable bed space and check access and handling.
