The Canon EOS Rebel T3i, also called the EOS 600D in Canon documentation, is an older DSLR, so its appeal is practical rather than modern: it can use EF and EF-S lenses, but you should judge each listing by its condition, included gear and return terms.
What the T3i offers
Canon specifies an approximately 18.0-megapixel effective-resolution CMOS sensor. Large images are 5,184 × 3,456 pixels, or approximately 17.90 megapixels, in RAW and JPEG capture. These are Canon specifications, not an independent assessment of image quality or performance. Canon’s T3i support and specifications

The camera has an EF mount and accepts both EF and EF-S lenses. It records to SD, SDHC or SDXC cards and uses an LP-E8 battery. If you already own compatible Canon lenses, that can make a used body more attractive; if not, include a suitable lens and the other essentials in your total cost. Consider it for
- Learning exposure controls with a dedicated camera.
- Budget-oriented still photography, provided the body works properly and the full setup is affordable.
- Using EF or EF-S lenses you already own.
- A complete kit with a tested lens, battery and charger, rather than a body-only listing that makes the eventual cost less obvious.
Compare other options if
- You expect newer-camera autofocus, connectivity or video capabilities.
- The camera is untested, essential accessories are missing, or the seller gives you no practical recourse if it arrives faulty.
- The cost of adding a lens, working battery, charger and card erases the appeal of the asking price.
There is no single fair price established here, and the available specifications do not support declaring a particular newer model the better choice. Compare actual listings by total cost, condition, included gear and seller protections.

Check the whole kit before paying
Canon’s archived kit material identifies the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II as a lens supplied in a T3i kit. That does not mean every used listing includes it—or that an included lens is in good condition. Confirm the precise contents with the seller. Canon support
- Contents: Confirm whether it is body-only or includes a lens, working battery, charger, body cap, strap and memory card. Budget for anything missing.
- Visible condition: Review current, clear photos and the description for screen damage, corrosion, impact damage, loose doors, dirty controls, and lens haze or fungus.
- Basic operation: If possible, test that it powers on, records to a card and plays images back. Check autofocus, exposure, buttons and dials, pop-up flash and the articulating display.
- Shutter count: Treat it as one clue, not a guarantee of remaining life. Ask how the count was obtained and consider it alongside the camera’s function, physical condition and seller terms. The cited material does not establish a shutter-life rating for the T3i.
- Recourse: Read the specific return window and warranty terms, especially for an older camera. They can vary by seller, region and listing.
What used listings show about price
MPB’s U.S. listings checked in 2026 included excellent-condition examples at $184 with shutter counts in the low thousands. Its EU listings included a “Good” example at €137 with a 10,012 shutter count and a “Well used” example at €109 with a 26,499 shutter count. These are asking prices for specific live listings at the time checked—not completed-sale prices, a market average or a lasting price guide. Stock, condition and seller terms can change.
