The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double is a 23.21 lb side-by-side stroller that measures 26.1 inches wide, making its compact design its strongest appeal for daily errands and travel. Its key trade-off is a 33 lb limit for each seat, plus a 15 lb basket limit. It may suit families prioritizing a lighter, narrow double stroller, but parents should check both children’s growth, doorway width, and storage needs before buying.
What are the City Tour 2 Double’s size and weight?
For the US model 2087573, Baby Jogger lists dimensions of 26.1 inches wide, 40.3 inches high, and 37.2 inches deep, with a stroller weight of 23.21 lb. The listed measurements are open dimensions; the product information cited here does not provide folded dimensions. Baby Jogger’s US product page describes it as fitting a standard doorway, but actual doorways vary. Measure the narrowest entrance on your regular route rather than relying on the general claim.

What are the seat and basket limits?
Baby Jogger lists a maximum of 33 lb per seat and 15 lb for the basket. The 2019 manual adds a maximum child height of 40 inches and a maximum total child weight of 66 lb; it recommends an 81 lb total load when the basket carries its full 15 lb. Check each child’s weight and height, and allow for growth: reaching either the per-seat weight or height limit means that child has outgrown the stroller seat. The basket limit is separate from the child-weight limit, not extra capacity for a child.
How does it work for daily use?
The stroller has two padded seats with multiple recline positions, adjustable calf supports, and UV 50+ canopies. Baby Jogger also lists front-wheel suspension, lockable front swivel wheels, a foot-operated parking brake, and a one-step fold with an auto-lock. Those specifications suggest features aimed at routine outings, but they do not establish performance on rough terrain. The manufacturer explicitly says the stroller is not intended for jogging.

Is it practical for travel or Disney?
Its listed 23.21 lb weight and 26.1-inch width are relevant advantages when lifting or navigating tighter spaces with a double stroller. Baby Jogger says it meets Disney size requirements, but venue rules can change; check the current policy for the specific destination before traveling. The available product information does not establish universal airline carry-on acceptance, so confirm baggage rules with your airline and do not assume the folded stroller will be accepted in the cabin.
What do owners say, and how much weight should that carry?
At the time the product page was captured in October 2026, Baby Jogger displayed an average of 3.9 out of 5 from 68 customer reviews. This is a changing, manufacturer-hosted rating, not an independent test. Individual reviews include praise for compactness, portability, independently reclining seats, and use on sidewalks and indoors; other comments raise limited basket storage, the seat weight cap, price, or missing accessories. These are individual experiences, not controlled or representative findings. Read the current product-page reviews as anecdotal context alongside the stated specifications.

What should you know about accessories and safety?
The product page lists a parent console, but the listing does not establish that every console version fits this Double model. Confirm exact compatibility before purchasing. Accessories shown for the single City Tour 2 on Baby Jogger’s regional Polish site are not proof of compatibility with the Double. That regional page describes the single stroller, not this model.
The 2019 manual says, “Accessories which are not approved by Baby Jogger shall not be used.” It also warns that loads attached to the handle, back, or sides affect stability; follow the manual’s guidance rather than hanging bags from the stroller. Use the restraint system, engage the brakes when loading or unloading, and use only supplied or approved replacement parts. For seat-cover replacement, Baby Jogger directs owners to an Authorized Dealer and a lookup based on model number and manufacture date. See the City Tour Double manual and the manufacturer’s replacement-parts information.

Who is it best suited to?
- Consider it if you want a comparatively light, narrow side-by-side stroller and both children are comfortably within the seat limits.
- Look elsewhere if either child is near the 33 lb or 40-inch limit, or if you regularly carry more than 15 lb in the basket.
- Check before buying if your decision depends on a particular doorway, venue rule, airline cabin allowance, or accessory fit.
There is no independent comparative test established here to support a claim that the City Tour 2 Double is better than competing strollers. Compare alternatives using open and folded dimensions, weight, doorway clearance, child limits, basket capacity, terrain suitability, fold and carry convenience, and confirmed accessory compatibility.
