The Alienware AW3426DW is a 34-inch, 280Hz QD-OLED ultrawide, and the reported Prime Big Deal Days price was $629.99. That offer was reported on October 6, 2026, so it may no longer be available: Dell’s US catalog displayed $649.99 the next day. Check the live listing and checkout total before treating either figure as current.
Which Alienware monitor is the 280Hz deal?
The model is the AW3426DW. It is not the AW3425DW, its predecessor, which runs at 240Hz. A separate October 2026 deal roundup listed the older AW3425DW at $699; that price and model are not the 280Hz offer discussed here.

The AW3426DW combines a 34-inch panel, 3440×1440 resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. That resolution is ultrawide QHD, not 4K. Dell lists a 1800R curve and QD-OLED Penta Tandem technology, with peak brightness advertised up to 1,300 nits. Tom’s Guide lists a 280Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time. These are manufacturer and review specifications, not a promise of performance in every game or setup. Dell specifications · Tom’s Guide specifications

Why 280Hz matters—and when it may not
A high refresh rate can make motion look smoother and can suit fast-paced games, but the monitor’s maximum rate alone does not ensure a high-frame-rate experience. Your PC and the specific game must render enough frames to take advantage of it. At 3440×1440, consider your graphics card’s capabilities and the games you play; demanding titles may not reach the monitor’s maximum refresh rate on every system.
Ports and panel generation
Tom’s Guide lists one DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, and USB-A, USB-B and USB-C connections. Check the current regional product listing for the exact port specifications and confirm that your PC and other devices can connect the way you need.

In TechRadar’s comparison, the AW3426DW moves from the AW3425DW’s 4-stack QD-OLED and Q-stripe arrangement to Penta Tandem QD-OLED with RGB stripe subpixels. TechRadar also lists a higher brightness tier and True Black 500/Dolby Vision support for the newer model, compared with True Black 400 for the older one. How to decide whether to buy
- Check the live deal: Compare the current AW3426DW listing with Dell’s current price, and base your decision on the final checkout total—not the past Prime Day discount.
- Match the resolution to your PC: Make sure your graphics card and preferred games can deliver the frame rates you want at 3440×1440.
- Value the refresh rate appropriately: The 280Hz ceiling is most relevant if you play games that can produce high frame rates; it is not the sole measure of display quality.
- Compare the right generation: Verify that a listing says AW3426DW if you want the 280Hz model. The AW3425DW is the 240Hz predecessor.
- Check your inputs and features: Confirm that the ports, panel generation and HDR capabilities on the seller’s listing meet your needs, especially if comparing with another ultrawide.
Verdict
The AW3426DW is a strong fit to consider if you want a curved 34-inch QD-OLED ultrawide and your PC can make good use of 280Hz at 3440×1440. The reported $629.99 Prime Big Deal Days offer was time-limited; compare the price you can actually pay now with Dell’s current listing before deciding whether it is a good deal for you.
