LG lists VRR up to 144Hz for the 48-inch C5, as well as Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium, HGiG, and Game Optimizer. These features can help the TV work smoothly with compatible consoles and PCs. Maximum refresh rate depends on the connected input and game; the 144Hz figure is not a promise that a particular console game will reach that rate. Response time is not input lag
LG advertises a 0.1ms pixel response time. That describes how quickly pixels change, not how long a controller input takes to appear on screen. TechRadar’s James Davidson reported measuring 9.2ms of input lag for the C5 in an October 5, 2026 article; the article does not establish that the tested set was specifically the 48-inch model. Is it a sensible upgrade for GTA VI?
Rockstar’s support page lists Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation Blog’s June 24, 2026 post gives November 19, 2026 as the launch date; release timing can change. Neither source says GTA VI requires an LG C5 or confirms a particular frame rate for the game. The C5’s HDMI 2.1 and VRR support are general display features, not evidence of GTA VI-specific certification or performance. What to know about OLED care
LG cautions: “Pixel Cleaning reduces, but does not eliminate, the risk of permanent image retention (‘burn-in’).” Avoid leaving static images on screen for extended periods. LG also advises leaving the TV plugged in after switching it off so automatic pixel cleaning can complete.
