Is T-Mobile Ending Its Starlink Partnership? What Its Website Change Means

T-Mobile has reportedly removed Starlink references from its main satellite-service landing page, putting its own T-Satellite branding front and center. That is a change in how the carrier presents the service—not evidence that its partnership with SpaceX has ended. PhoneArena reported that Starlink references remained on some T-Mobile support and business pages, and that the companies’ exclusivity arrangement extends beyond 2026.

What changed on T-Mobile’s satellite page?

In a report updated Oct. 5, 2026, PhoneArena said T-Mobile’s main satellite-service landing page no longer named Starlink and instead foregrounded T-Satellite, the carrier’s service brand. The report also noted that Starlink references remained on some T-Mobile support and business pages. PhoneArena’s report describes a difference in public-facing branding across pages, not a confirmed change to the underlying service relationship.

T-Mobile’s investor-relations press-release listing included T-Satellite activation announcements in August 2026, supporting that T-Satellite remains an active service label. T-Mobile Investor Relations does not, in the cited listing, independently establish the terms of the Starlink relationship.

Is T-Mobile ending its Starlink partnership?

The available reporting does not establish that T-Mobile has ended the partnership. PhoneArena reported that T-Mobile confirmed in July 2026 that its Starlink exclusivity period extends beyond 2026. That contract detail is attributed to PhoneArena; no official contract document confirming the term is cited here. A landing-page copy change alone cannot show that the agreement or service has been terminated.

Why might T-Mobile emphasize T-Satellite?

The change could reflect a decision to promote T-Satellite as T-Mobile’s customer-facing brand, or to avoid tying its broader satellite strategy too closely to one provider. PhoneArena discusses public-relations caution and competitive pressure as possible explanations. T-Mobile has not confirmed those motives in the cited material, so they remain interpretations rather than established reasons.

How does the reported carrier venture fit in?

PhoneArena separately reported that AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are pooling spectrum resources in a joint venture intended to work with multiple satellite operators. It named Amazon Leo and AST SpaceMobile as potential participants, while noting that their systems were not yet fully operational. The cited reporting does not independently verify the venture’s terms, membership, status, or readiness.

What the website change does—and does not—tell customers

  • It does suggest: T-Mobile is presenting T-Satellite as its own service brand on its main satellite page, according to PhoneArena’s Oct. 5, 2026 report.
  • It does not establish: that T-Mobile has terminated its Starlink partnership, that Starlink has been removed from the service, or that another satellite provider has taken over.
  • It leaves open: how T-Mobile may present or expand satellite connectivity in the future. The cited sources do not provide comparable service specifications or confirm a completed change in providers.
