No official announcement says Sarah Connor is being replaced in Terminator: Survivors. Nacon describes the game as an original story about survivors after Judgment Day and the beginnings of the Resistance. Its FAQ mentions Sarah’s role in the fictional timeline, but does not identify a complete cast or announce that she has been replaced.
Is Sarah Connor being replaced in Terminator: Survivors?
No. Nacon’s official FAQ says Sarah Connor averted the scheduled 1997 Judgment Day, delaying rather than preventing Skynet’s rise. It does not say she will be replaced as a character, nor does it confirm whether she appears in the game.

The distinction matters: the announced story shifts to a later period and a new perspective, but a different focus is not evidence that an existing character has been removed.

Who is the main character in Terminator: Survivors?
The developer has not named a single protagonist in the cited FAQ. It describes an original story about survivors and the genesis of John Connor’s Resistance, with players encountering both familiar franchise figures and new characters. Creative director Marco Ponte characterized the perspective in a December 16, 2025 update as “The start of the resistance against the machines, as seen through your eyes.”

That wording indicates a player-centered viewpoint; it does not establish the player character’s name or confirm that Sarah Connor is part of the cast. The complete cast has not been disclosed in these cited materials.
What is the game’s Terminator timeline?
Nacon’s FAQ gives this fictional chronology:

These dates are part of the game’s story, not real-world events. In this premise, Sarah’s intervention changes when the catastrophe happens; it does not eliminate Skynet or the post-apocalyptic setting.

What has changed about co-op and the release plan?
In the December 16, 2025 update, Ponte said the team had dropped cooperative multiplayer, replaced its early-access plan with a complete launch, and would not release the game in 2025. He added: “We don’t have a new date locked in, but we’ll let you know when we’re ready to share a new release date.”
