Official material confirms a fourth Jujutsu Kaisen TV season, The Culling Game Part 2, whose underlying story has characters seeking a way to revive Gojo. It does not confirm that Gojo has returned or that a new Gojo-centered manga sequel is bringing him back. A separate manga spinoff, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, is also not the newly announced anime season.
What has actually been announced?
The official June 19, 2026 announcement identifies the next TV anime season as The Culling Game Part 2, continuing the adaptation of the Culling Game story. It also names Takeru Sato as the new director and announces a teaser PV. The announcement gives no premiere date or release window.

This is an anime continuation of the original story, not an announcement that the original manga has resumed or that a new manga sequel is centered on Gojo.
What does Gojo’s revival have to do with the Culling Game?
The official story synopsis says characters enter the colonies seeking a way to revive Gojo and rescue Tsumiki Fushiguro. It describes Hana Kurusu, known as “Angel,” as having a technique that can extinguish cursed techniques and as key to the effort to revive Gojo.

- Comes with secure packaging
- Care instruction: Keep away from fire
- It can be used as a gift
That establishes a goal within the story, not its outcome. A synopsis saying characters are trying to bring Gojo back does not confirm that they succeed, or that a new series has already shown his return.
Is Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo the sequel?
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is a separate near-future manga spinoff written by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki. The official site says it began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2025 and that all three collected volumes have been released. It is not the title of the fourth TV anime season, and its existence does not confirm a Gojo-focused sequel.

How the manga, spinoff, and anime continuation differ
| Project | Format and connection | What is established about Gojo |
|---|---|---|
| The Culling Game Part 2 | Fourth TV anime season continuing the Culling Game adaptation | The story includes an effort to find a way to revive him; the season announcement does not confirm his return. |
| Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo | Near-future manga spinoff by Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki | It is a distinct spinoff, not the Season 4 announcement. |
| Original Jujutsu Kaisen manga | Original series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump | The official site says its story concluded in September 2024. |
Where the original manga stands
The official site dates the original manga’s serialization to March 2018 and says it concluded in September 2024, after six and a half years. The anime can continue adapting that completed story even though the original manga serialization has ended. Readers looking for the source story can find the publisher’s collected-volume listings on the official Shonen Jump page.

The official season announcement checked here does not provide a release window. For a later schedule update, consult the official anime announcement and subsequent official news rather than treating an unconfirmed date as settled. The reliable distinction for now is simple: the anime continuation is confirmed, Gojo’s revival is a story objective, and a confirmed return in a new Gojo-centered sequel is not established.
