Humble’s Fright or Fight Halloween Bundle is a strong low-cost way to add horror games to a Steam library: the complete set has seven Steam titles for $12, while a $6 tier includes four. The important catch for Steam Deck owners is compatibility. Six games are listed as Playable or Verified, but Blair Witch is labeled Unsupported, so the bundle is not equally seamless across every title.
What is in the bundle?
Steam Deck HQ reported on October 14, 2026, that the offer contains seven horror games. The entry tier costs $6 and the complete tier costs $12. The higher tier adds three games rather than replacing the first four.

| Tier | Price | Games included | Steam Deck labels in the listing |
|---|---|---|---|
| First tier | $6 | Blair Witch; Observer: System Redux; DEVOUR; Tales from Candleforth | One Unsupported; three Verified |
| Full tier | $12 | Everything in the first tier, plus The Medium, Layers of Fear and I Hate This Place | One Unsupported; four Verified; two Playable |
The named headline additions are The Medium and Layers of Fear. Steam Deck HQ author Noah Kupetsky called it “a great way to get 7 horror games for your Steam Deck for only $12, including The Medium and Layers of Fear.” That is a value assessment, not a claim that every game has been personally tested by the author.

Verified games
Layers of Fear, Observer: System Redux, DEVOUR and Tales from Candleforth carry the listing’s Verified label. For a buyer prioritizing the least setup uncertainty, these four are the clearest starting points.
#1 Best Overall
- 1TB NVMe SSD
- 1280 x 800 HDR OLED display with premium anti-glare etched glass, 7.4" Diagonal display size up to 90Hz refresh rate
- Wi-Fi 6E
- 50Whr battery; 3-12 hours of gameplay (content-dependent)
- Carrying case with removable liner
Playable games
The Medium and I Hate This Place are marked Playable. They are presented as usable on Steam Deck, but the Playable designation is distinct from Verified, so buyers should expect that some interaction, display or control details may not be as seamless as in the Verified group.
The exception: Blair Witch
Blair Witch is labeled Unsupported. That does not make the game worthless, but it does mean the bundle should not be advertised as seven equally trouble-free Deck experiences. If you are buying specifically for handheld play, treat Blair Witch as an extra to investigate rather than a guaranteed pick.

$6 or $12: which tier makes sense?
| Choose | Best fit | Value calculation | What to watch |
|---|---|---|---|
| $6 tier | You want a smaller commitment or mainly want the four listed starter games. | $1.50 per game, based on four included titles. | Blair Witch is Unsupported, and the three other games are Verified. |
| $12 full tier | You want the broadest horror selection and do not already own the added titles. | About $1.71 per game, based on seven included titles. | The extra games are The Medium (Playable), Layers of Fear (Verified) and I Hate This Place (Playable). |
The full tier is only $6 more for three additional games, making it the straightforward choice if you are starting from zero and want all seven. The first tier is more rational if you already own one or more of the additions. Check your Steam library before paying: a cheap bundle is poor value for duplicate keys, even when the headline price is low.
How the Steam keys work—and the deadline risk
- Buy the selected tier through the Humble Store offer while it is available.
- Claim each Steam key supplied with the purchase.
- Redeem and activate the keys on Steam before the listed deadline of May 4, 2027.
- Install the games you want on your Steam Deck and check each title’s current compatibility information before committing storage or play time.
IsThereAnyDeal lists the offer at $6 for the first tier and states that the Steam keys must be redeemed and activated by May 4, 2027. That makes the bundle convenient for adding several games at once, but it also creates a time-sensitive obligation: an unclaimed or unactivated key may become unusable after the deadline. Keep the purchase receipt and record which keys you redeemed.

SteamGifts’ ongoing-bundle tracker lists the bundle as added October 14, 2026, with an end date of November 5, 2026, prices from $6, and a 5/8 key-tier structure. The tracker’s tier notation does not change the seven-game lineup reported by Steam Deck HQ, but it is another reason to verify the live offer page, regional availability and exact contents before checkout. Prices and dates can change.

- It does provide: a low upfront price, Steam activation, and a mix of single-player and multiplayer-oriented horror games, including DEVOUR.
- It does not provide: identical Deck compatibility for every title; Blair Witch is explicitly Unsupported.
- It does not guarantee: that every game will suit your taste, that keys will remain redeemable beyond May 4, 2027, or that the offer will remain available after November 5, 2026.
- Charitable support: IsThereAnyDeal says the bundle supports Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
Steam Deck HQ also notes that its author had not played I Hate This Place or Tales from Candleforth. Those titles should therefore be judged from their store information and compatibility labels, not presented as firsthand reviews.

- Valve is entering the gaming console marketplace with the new Steam Deck, a console geared towards PC gamers. The Steam Deck can be docked to a monitor, and used as a PC, or docked to a TV.
- Players can play a huge variety of games at any time with the comfort of a console and the freedom of a PC. Not anti-glare screen.
- Like the name suggests, the Steam Deck will include upgraded 1TB storage, and will include a carrying case. A micro SD slot will also enable expanded storage.
- Valve partnered with AMD to create a specialized APU optimized for handheld gaming, and Valve says the chip will deliver performance to run AAA gaming titles.
- The Steam Deck is outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen, and two trackpads under the control sticks that allow gamers to operate games never designed outside of mouse and keyboard capabilities.
Bottom line for Steam Deck owners
At $12, the complete bundle offers seven horror games at roughly $1.71 each and is the better buy for newcomers who want variety. The $6 tier is sensible for shoppers avoiding duplicates or testing the concept cheaply. Either way, make the Unsupported Blair Witch label part of the decision, redeem every key before May 4, 2027, and confirm that the offer is still live in your region before purchasing.
