No—not on PlayGTA5, according to a report published October 6, 2026. Windows Report said playgta5.com was no longer offering the browser game, with visitors reportedly encountering an error, blank page, or short message. That is dated reporting rather than a live uptime check, so the site’s status may change.
What happened to PlayGTA5?
Windows Report described PlayGTA5 as an unofficial browser project and reported that it had stopped offering the game as of October 6, 2026. The report said a demonstration downloaded around 700 MB of assets before gameplay. That figure is attributed to Windows Report, not an independently verified project specification. The report did not establish why the site stopped working. Neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two had officially confirmed that it ordered the project’s removal, and the claim that the project used leaked GTA V source code was not officially confirmed. There is also no attributable public statement from a named company representative in the reporting cited here. The cause and the project’s underlying implementation therefore remain unverified.

Check Xbox Cloud Gaming availability
Xbox’s GTA V Cloud Gaming listing provides a cloud-play route and says a controller is required.
