Rockstar announced that PS5 players could download and keep GTA Online for free during the first three months after its March 2022 launch on the new console generation. What to know about standalone GTA Online
Standalone GTA Online does not automatically provide every feature associated with Story Mode. Rockstar Support says standalone owners must purchase Story Mode to access Rockstar Editor and Director Modes. See Rockstar Support’s details.

What the game includes
Rockstar describes GTA Online as an online universe for up to 30 players, with existing gameplay upgrades and content, playable solo or with friends. See Rockstar’s GTA Online page. Online access requirements and any platform membership rules should be checked with the relevant live store or platform service.
