No PlayStation version of Gears of War: E-Day is listed or announced in Xbox’s current official platform information. Xbox names Xbox Series X|S and PC, with cloud access also available through specified services. Xbox documents cross-platform multiplayer, but has not published a complete launch cross-play matrix in the sources available here. That means you should not assume PlayStation players can join Xbox or PC friends.
Is Gears of War: E-Day coming to PlayStation?
As of October 4, 2026, Xbox’s official platform listings do not include a PlayStation version. The accurate answer is that a PlayStation release has not been listed or announced in the official information reviewed—not that one can never happen. Xbox’s game page and its October 1 launch announcement identify Xbox and PC routes instead.

What platforms is Gears of War: E-Day on?
Xbox identifies Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. On PC, Xbox Wire names both the Xbox PC route and Steam. Cloud gaming is an access option, not a separate console platform.

| Option | What Xbox lists | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Console | Xbox Series X|S | The listed console platform; no PlayStation console appears in the official listings reviewed. |
| PC | Windows PC, including Xbox on PC and Steam | Choose the PC storefront that suits you; confirm the live listing and terms before purchase. |
| Cloud | Xbox Cloud Gaming and, in Xbox Wire’s launch announcement, GeForce NOW | Availability depends on the service, plan, and region; cloud is an access route rather than another console platform. |
| Subscription access | Xbox lists Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch | Check current regional catalog and plan terms; subscription access is distinct from buying through a storefront. |
Xbox announced worldwide Premium Edition early access beginning October 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. PT / 15:00 UTC, and worldwide launch on October 6, 2026, at the same time. The launch announcement gives the timing; Xbox’s product page also lists October 6 as the availability date. Service availability and online features can vary by region and may change.

Does Gears of War: E-Day have crossplay?
Xbox’s beta listing identifies “Xbox cross-platform multiplayer,” and the full-game product capability listing also includes Xbox cross-platform multiplayer. That supports cross-platform play among supported groups, but it does not establish exactly which console and PC combinations share every mode at launch.
The beta FAQ gives one specific instruction: to send a cross-platform squad invite during the beta, players need to link an Xbox account. This is a beta-specific requirement, not a complete statement of launch account or matchmaking rules. The official beta listing and beta FAQ do not provide a definitive full-game platform-by-platform matrix or settle whether players can opt out of crossplay.

Xbox lists online co-op for 2–4 players and online multiplayer for 2–12. Those figures describe mode capacity, not which platforms can join one another.

How to choose where to play
- Choose your hardware: the listed console option is Xbox Series X|S; the PC options are Windows PC through Xbox on PC or Steam.
- Choose an access route: compare buying the game with eligible Game Pass access, and check current plan availability in your region.
- Check your group’s platforms: Xbox documents cross-platform multiplayer, but the cited launch material does not confirm every platform pairing. If playing together is the deciding factor, verify the current official game support information before buying.
- Account for online requirements: the beta required a linked Xbox account to send a cross-platform squad invite. Do not assume beta instructions cover every launch mode or storefront.
