That headline appears to combine details from different promotions. Recent reports describe a 14-game Platinum Collection at $39.90, a 19-game Retro Revival selection at $26.98, and a 17-game Platinum Collection from September 2025 at $48.55. Where the $17, 17-game claim comes from
The exact combination of 17 games, roughly $400 in value and a $17 price is not established by the current Fanatical storefront or the dated reports available for comparison. The figures appear to have been conflated from several similarly marketed bundles.

Fanatical’s deals page, accessed October 16, 2026, lists 761 products. Of those, 757 are Steam products, 212 carry a Steam Deck Playable label and 202 are Steam Deck Verified. The store says it sells official keys and officially licensed games, but those storefront totals do not confirm a particular 17-game promotion or its expiration date.
Fanatical’s Build Your Own Bundles let customers choose titles rather than automatically receiving one fixed set. Selecting more games generally lowers the effective per-game price, so a headline price can describe one selection tier while a smaller basket costs more per title.

Which games are actually included?
There is no single verified 17-game list matching the headline. The September 2025 report names titles including DYSMANTLE, Rogue Loops, Border Pioneer, Stray Path, Disco Elysium – The Final Cut, PlateUp! and Paradise Killer. Those names document that older promotion; they should not be presented as the contents of a live 2026 bundle.

Steam’s compatibility badges describe different levels of testing:
Rank #3
- Verified: Valve indicates that the game meets its recommended Steam Deck compatibility requirements.
- Playable: The game runs on Deck but may require a manual setting change, on-screen keyboard use, magnification or another adjustment.
The dated bundle reports use both categories. A “Steam Deck-friendly” description therefore does not mean every game is Verified, and it does not guarantee identical performance, controls, text size or battery life. Open each product page and check the current badge before choosing a title.
How to check the live Fanatical offer
- Open Fanatical’s current deals page and filter for Steam Deck Playable or Steam Deck Verified products.
- Open the bundle’s own page, not just a search result, and record the displayed title list, selection tiers and expiration notice.
- Count the games you can select. For a double-pack, confirm whether Fanatical treats it as one selection or two games in the displayed total.
- Compare the checkout total with the bundle’s stated original-price baseline. Treat “value” as a comparison against the prices and date shown by the promotion, not as a guaranteed amount you would have paid today.
- At checkout, verify currency, taxes, activation restrictions and the final number of Steam keys before paying.
Regional activation and availability risks
Steam keys can have country or region restrictions. A deal visible in the United States may show a different currency, price, tax treatment or activation notice elsewhere. Inventory can also change when a bundle expires or a publisher’s allotment runs out. If the checkout page displays a region warning, do not assume a VPN or account-region change will solve it; use a key that is explicitly valid for your country.
Rank #4
- Valve is entering the gaming console marketplace with the new Steam Deck, a console geared towards PC gamers. The Steam Deck can be docked to a monitor, and used as a PC, or docked to a TV.
- Players can play a huge variety of games at any time with the comfort of a console and the freedom of a PC. Not anti-glare screen.
- Like the name suggests, the Steam Deck will include upgraded 1TB storage, and will include a carrying case. A micro SD slot will also enable expanded storage.
- Valve partnered with AMD to create a specialized APU optimized for handheld gaming, and Valve says the chip will deliver performance to run AAA gaming titles.
- The Steam Deck is outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen, and two trackpads under the control sticks that allow gamers to operate games never designed outside of mouse and keyboard capabilities.
What the “$400 value” means
The $363.68 figure belongs to the September 2025 17-game report, while $324.32 and $174.86 belong to the two 2026 reports described above. These are reported original-price totals, not independent appraisals and not necessarily current Steam prices. Discounts, regional pricing, previous sales and editions can all change the comparison. The value number is useful for judging the bundle’s discount, but it should not be read as a promise that every game is currently sold at that combined amount.
Useful hardware for a Deck bundle
A USB-C docking station can make a digital bundle more convenient by connecting the Steam Deck to a monitor, television, Ethernet and USB peripherals. It is an optional accessory and is not included with Fanatical’s game keys. Check that any dock supports the display resolution and refresh rate you need, provides adequate USB-C power delivery and has the ports required for your setup.
Bottom line on the $17 deal
Do not publish or buy on the assumption that Fanatical currently offers 17 Steam Deck-friendly games worth $400 for $17. The documented 17-game example cost $48.55 and dates from September 2025. The more recent reports describe different bundles and prices. Use the live Fanatical page and final checkout to confirm the exact titles, Steam Deck badges, regional eligibility, total price and expiration before purchasing.
