The listing offers F1 25 for purchase and labels it “Included with EA Play,” while separately saying “PS Plus required for online play.” Those labels refer to different access: EA Play is the subscription inclusion shown for the game, and PlayStation Plus is required for its online multiplayer. If you cancel PS Plus, your benefits continue until the paid period ends; after that, you lose PS Plus benefits, including online multiplayer and access to claimed monthly games while your membership is inactive.
What the F1 25 listing says
The US PlayStation Store lists F1 25 as a PS5 game with a purchase option and the label “Included with EA Play.” It also says “PS Plus required for online play.” The listing does not identify F1 25 as a PlayStation Plus monthly game or Game Catalog title. See the US F1 25 listing.

Four different ways a subscription or purchase can provide access

What happens when you cancel PlayStation Plus
Before the paid period ends
Canceling stops renewal; it does not immediately remove the benefits for the time you have already paid for. PlayStation Support says access continues until the end of the previously purchased payment period. The timing and benefits are described in its UK cancellation guidance.

After membership ends
PlayStation Support says that once the subscription ends, you lose PlayStation Plus benefits such as monthly games, online storage and online multiplayer. A monthly game claimed through Plus is unavailable while the membership is inactive. For F1 25, this means PS Plus online multiplayer access ends with the membership; the US listing does not say that PS Plus is required to use every feature of a separately purchased copy.
What you keep
PlayStation’s cancellation guidance says you keep discounted purchases, redeemed packs and avatars. That is different from a monthly game obtained as a Plus benefit: claimed monthly games are unavailable while the subscription is inactive.

What to check before relying on access
- Open your local PlayStation Store page for F1 25 and check whether it currently lists a purchase option, EA Play inclusion or a PlayStation Plus offer.
- Check the game’s online-play requirement separately from how you obtain the game. For the US listing checked October 3, 2026, PS Plus is required for online play.
- If you are relying on a monthly game or catalog title, confirm that exact title and entitlement in your region; these benefits are not interchangeable.
- If you plan to cancel, note the paid-through date. PS Plus benefits continue until that date, then access to subscription benefits ends.
