Check your local store for today’s price and exact listing before purchasing.
What you get, and who may find it worth buying
The central choice is whether the game itself appeals to you—not whether Deluxe adds more story. EA describes The Veilguard as a single-player RPG, and its published edition details identify the Deluxe extras as cosmetics. If you want the game and do not particularly value those items, Standard is the more defensible value choice. If collecting character looks and weapons is part of the appeal, Deluxe may suit you, depending on its current local price.

EA’s 2024 launch announcement listed two editions. The prices below are historical US suggested launch prices, not current quotes; store pricing, discounts, and regional prices can differ today.

The launch announcement does not describe the Deluxe bonuses as a story expansion. Before checkout, compare the edition contents and current price on the store for your region; do not assume the launch prices still apply. EA’s purchase page links to available platform storefronts.
Platforms and console performance modes
EA lists The Veilguard for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its purchase page links to PC options including the EA app, Steam, and Epic, as well as console stores. Confirm the exact platform, edition, and regional listing before buying—especially if you are purchasing for someone else.

For PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, EA says fidelity and performance modes target 30 and 60 FPS, respectively. These are official targets, not a guarantee of a fixed frame rate in every scene. EA also says the game is enhanced for PS5 Pro. Choose a console mode according to your preference, keeping in mind that the published figures are targets. - Platform: Buy for the hardware you own: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.
- Edition: Compare the live listing’s contents. Deluxe is documented as cosmetic extras; decide whether those warrant its current premium.
- Price and region: Treat EA’s 2024 launch prices as historical. Check the price, currency, discount, and edition in your local storefront.
- PC requirements: Verify the listed requirements against your computer before purchasing.
- Reviews: If you use Steam feedback to inform your choice, look at the current review count and rating rather than treating an older snapshot as permanent.
Is the art book another game edition?
No. EA names The Art of Dragon Age: The Veilguard by Dark Horse as an art book and explicitly notes that it does not include the game. It is an optional collector item, not a substitute for Standard or Deluxe. Check the book’s own current listing if you want it.
