Short answer: Brambleghast is not an established ranked pick in Great, Ultra, or Master League in the current Pokémon GO Hub data snapshot. That means there is no evidence-based “best league” for it today. It may still win individual battles, but the available sources do not show a dependable open-league role.
If you want to experiment, Pokémon GO Hub’s move table gives Hex plus Power Whip the highest displayed damage-per-cycle value for Brambleghast. Treat that as a database comparison, not proof that the combination is competitively optimal.

What the current data actually says
Pokémon GO Hub’s Brambleghast page reports no ranking information for Great League, Ultra League, or Master League in its 2026 access snapshot. Because all three open leagues are unranked, the defensible answer is not that one league is secretly best; it is that no source reviewed establishes Brambleghast as a ranked open-league choice.
“Unranked” is narrower than “useless.” A Pokémon can take wins through surprise value, favorable alignment, or a player’s preferred team style without appearing in a ranking list. However, the checked sources provide no battle simulations or usage data demonstrating a reliable Brambleghast niche. Rankings can also change after move rebalance or other game updates, and the database entry does not state a specific game-version date for these tables.

That distinction matters when deciding how much confidence to place in a single successful set. One favorable lead, an opponent who fails to shield, or a type-advantage switch can make an unranked Pokémon look excellent for a few games. None of those isolated results establishes that it performs consistently across common teams. Treat the current verdict as a confidence statement: there is not enough published evidence to call Brambleghast a dependable open-league investment.
League-by-league view
The following are Pokémon GO Hub’s listed build calculations. They describe the IVs, level and CP that fit each league’s cap; they are not evidence that investing in Brambleghast is worthwhile.
| League | Ranking status in the checked snapshot | Listed IV target | Listed level | Listed CP | Practical interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Great League | No ranking information | 0/15/15 | 23 | 1497 | Only a cap-fitting build calculation; no established meta role |
| Ultra League | No ranking information | 0/15/15 | 47.5 | 2499 | Requires a high-level build without a demonstrated ranked niche |
| Master League | No ranking information | 15/15/15 | 50 | 2745 | A level-50 option, but the listed CP remains far below the league’s usual ceiling and no ranking is supplied |
The Master League row deserves special caution. A level-50, 15/15/15 Brambleghast reaches the listed 2745 CP, yet the source still gives no Master League ranking. A cap-compatible number should not be read as a recommendation to spend XL Candy or Stardust.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The Great League target uses low attack and high defense and stamina IVs, a common way to fit more stat product under a CP cap. Ultra League uses the same listed spread but requires level 47.5, so finding and powering an appropriate specimen is a much larger commitment than the Great League calculation. Master League instead lists perfect 15/15/15 IVs at level 50, but its calculated CP is still only 2745. In every row, the calculation answers “what specimen fits this cap?” rather than “which league will make Brambleghast good?”
Brambleghast’s available moves
Pokémon GO Hub lists two fast moves—Hex and Bullet Seed—and three charged moves—Shadow Sneak, Power Whip and Night Shade. Its displayed move statistics are database values from the 2026 access snapshot.
Fast moves
| Fast move | Damage per turn | Energy per turn | What the table suggests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hex | 2.33 | 4.33 | Higher listed damage while matching Bullet Seed’s listed energy generation |
| Bullet Seed | 1.67 | 4.33 | Same listed energy generation, lower displayed damage |
On Pokémon GO Hub’s numbers, Hex is the more attractive starting point because it produces the same listed energy per turn as Bullet Seed while dealing more displayed damage per turn. That is a move-table comparison, not a complete battle result: timing, turn alignment, shields, typing and the opponent’s moveset can all change the outcome.
Equal listed energy generation does not mean the two fast moves play identically. The fast move’s damage is delivered on its own turn timing, and that timing affects when a charged move becomes available and whether a player can reach it before fainting. The available tables do not provide a full turn-by-turn simulation, so use the figures to form a test hypothesis rather than to promise a specific win rate.

| Charged move | Power in Pokémon GO Hub table | Energy in Pokémon GO Hub table | Displayed damage per energy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power Whip | 90 | 50 | 1.80 |
| Night Shade | 70 | 45 | 1.56 |
| Shadow Sneak | 75 | 50 | 1.50 |
By the displayed damage-per-energy calculation, Power Whip is the strongest of the three charged moves in that table. Its 90 power for 50 energy gives it the highest listed ratio, while Night Shade and Shadow Sneak are lower.
Damage per energy is only one comparison axis. A lower-cost charged move can become available sooner, while a higher-power move can be more valuable when shields are down. The tables do not identify a secondary charged move that creates a proven bait strategy, nor do they show which move combination performs best against a defined opponent list. Avoid turning the ratio into a claim that Power Whip is always the correct second move or that Night Shade and Shadow Sneak have no practical use.

Highest displayed damage-per-cycle combination
Pokémon GO Hub’s cycle table lists these combinations:
| Fast move | Charged move | Displayed damage per cycle |
|---|---|---|
| Hex | Power Whip | 94 |
| Hex | Shadow Sneak | 83 |
| Hex | Night Shade | 77 |
Therefore, Hex plus Power Whip is the highest-damage-per-cycle pairing shown for Brambleghast in that source. The figure does not account for every battle state and does not establish that this is the best competitive moveset. It is best described as the most favorable pairing in the displayed cycle comparison.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →The cycle values also do not show a Bullet Seed pairing in the listed comparison. Do not assume that omission means Bullet Seed is unavailable; it is listed as a fast move. It simply means the cited cycle table, as displayed, provides the direct 94, 83 and 77 comparisons for Hex combinations. If you test Bullet Seed, record it as a separate experiment instead of treating it as equivalent to the published Hex result.
Why another move table may look different
Serebii’s Pokémon GO entry independently lists the same general move set and agrees with the listed power for the charged moves, but its Trainer Battle energy values differ from Pokémon GO Hub’s table. Serebii lists Bullet Seed at 8 power, Shadow Sneak at 75 power and 45 energy, Night Shade at 70 power and 40 energy, and Power Whip at 90 power and 50 energy. Pokémon GO Hub lists Bullet Seed at different PvP power data and shows Shadow Sneak at 75/50 and Night Shade at 70/45.
Because the sources disagree, do not treat Bullet Seed’s PvP power or the charged-move energy costs as permanently settled without checking the values for the game version you are playing. The Hex-plus-Power-Whip cycle result comes specifically from Pokémon GO Hub’s displayed table; it should not be recalculated by mixing figures from the two databases.
This discrepancy is a practical warning for move comparisons. If an in-game update changes energy requirements, a move that looks efficient in one database can require a different number of fast moves in actual play. Check the current in-game move details and use one consistent data set when comparing versions. If you publish or record test results, include the date and game version so later results can be interpreted correctly.

The Brambleghast matchup table reviewed lists increased damage from Dark, Fire, Flying, Ghost and Ice attacks. It lists reduced damage from Electric, Grass, Ground and Water attacks, with stronger listed resistances against Fighting and Normal.
Threats to plan around
- Dark, Fire, Flying, Ghost and Ice: the source marks these attack types as dealing increased damage. Avoid assuming Brambleghast can safely absorb attacks from those categories simply because it has a Grass-associated role.
- Shield pressure: no source reviewed provides a complete simulation showing how often Brambleghast reaches a charged move or wins a shield scenario. Do not infer a reliable bait pattern from the move names alone.
- Alignment dependence: an unranked Pokémon is more likely to depend on favorable leads and switches. Build a team that covers the listed increased-damage types rather than treating Brambleghast as a standalone answer.
- Move uncertainty: conflicting database entries mean that a matchup expectation based on one energy cost may not match the current game client. Verify the move values before drawing conclusions from a narrow sample.
Matchups that may be more forgiving
- Electric, Grass, Ground and Water: the table lists reduced damage from these attack types, so those alignments may offer more room to operate.
- Fighting and Normal: the source lists stronger resistances here. That is useful context for selecting a safe switch, but it does not guarantee a win against every Pokémon using one of these attack types.
These are type-chart implications, not a ranking. The reviewed material contains no Brambleghast battle log, usage percentage or matchup matrix that would justify calling any particular opponent a guaranteed win.
When building around these interactions, separate defensive comfort from offensive pressure. A reduced-damage alignment may let Brambleghast stay on the field longer, but the available data does not show whether it can convert that time into a charged-move advantage. Conversely, an increased-damage category can be manageable if you switch out immediately, but that is a team-level plan rather than evidence that Brambleghast itself wins the matchup.

How to choose a Brambleghast build
Start with the league you can actually support
For Great League, the listed target is 0/15/15 at level 23 and 1497 CP. Ultra League’s listed target is also 0/15/15, but at level 47.5 and 2499 CP. Master League’s listed target is 15/15/15 at level 50 and 2745 CP. These are optimization targets for the stated CP caps, not proof that the Pokémon belongs in those formats.

If you do not already have the required level, IV spread and resources, there is no evidence in the reviewed sources that spending heavily to reach one of these targets will unlock a dependable role. A lower-level specimen can be used for casual testing, but its performance should not be presented as equivalent to the listed cap-fitting build.
Use the target as a screening tool rather than a shopping list. First identify the league you actually play, then check whether your specimen is close enough to the listed level and CP to make a fair test. A Great League test cannot answer whether a level-47.5 Ultra League build works, and a casual low-CP battle cannot validate the Master League calculation.
Then check the moves you can teach
- Confirm whether your Brambleghast can learn Hex and which charged moves are available in your current game version.
- Compare the in-game move information with the database values, especially for Bullet Seed and charged-move energy costs, because Pokémon GO Hub and Serebii do not match on every PvP figure.
- If you are testing the source’s highest displayed cycle pairing, start with Hex and Power Whip.
- Record results separately for each moveset. Do not attribute a win or loss to “Brambleghast” without noting the fast move, charged moves, IVs, CP and league.
- Do not mix a move’s power from one table with its energy cost from another when calculating efficiency. That produces a hybrid result neither source actually reports.
Match the build to a team role
Decide what you need before powering it up. A team looking for a specialist that exploits the listed reduced-damage categories has a different requirement from a team seeking a general safe swap. Since no ranked role is established, the burden is on the team builder to show that Brambleghast fills a gap that another, proven option does not.
Write down that role in one sentence—for example, “I want a switch option that benefits from the listed Fighting and Normal resistances.” Then test whether Brambleghast actually performs that job in your format. If the only justification is that its cycle number is high, the case remains a spreadsheet hypothesis rather than a team-building conclusion.

A practical way to test it without over-investing
- Use a disposable test first. Enter practice battles or private battles before spending large amounts of Stardust, Candy or XL Candy.
- Keep the format fixed. Test Great, Ultra or Master League separately. Changing the league while changing the team makes the result impossible to interpret.
- Log the essentials. Note your IVs, level, CP, fast move, charged moves, shield outcome and the opponent’s Pokémon.
- Test both alignment directions. Record results when Brambleghast leads and when it enters after a switch. An unranked pick may look better in a narrow alignment than in neutral play.
- Compare against an established team member. Replace Brambleghast with the Pokémon it would displace and repeat the same battles. This measures opportunity cost rather than just whether Brambleghast can occasionally win.
- Separate move tests. Run Hex plus Power Whip first if reproducing the cited cycle result, then test other combinations without changing the opponent pool.
- Use simulation tools carefully. PvPoke describes itself as an open-source Pokémon GO PvP and GO Battle League tool offering rankings, moves, battle simulation, team building and training. The reviewed material did not obtain a Brambleghast-specific PvPoke ranking or simulation, so treat any later tool output as a fresh, version-specific check rather than as evidence from this snapshot.
A useful log records more than wins and losses. Note whether Brambleghast reached a charged move, whether a shield was forced, which type interaction determined the exchange, and whether the same result held when the opponent had switch advantage. Those observations help distinguish a repeatable role from a lucky alignment without pretending that a small personal sample is a formal ranking.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you power up Brambleghast?
For most players building a resource-efficient open-league roster, the answer is not yet, unless you specifically want to experiment. The reason is not a claim that Brambleghast can never win; it is the combination of three limitations: no ranking information in any of the three open leagues, conflicting database values for some PvP move fields, and no reviewed battle simulation or usage data proving a repeatable niche.
A small, low-cost experiment can make sense if you already have a suitable specimen and enjoy unconventional teams. Use the listed IV and CP targets as reference points, start with Hex plus Power Whip if you want to reproduce the highest displayed cycle pairing, and keep the type-chart weaknesses in mind. Do not commit expensive resources solely because a database shows a cap-fitting level or a favorable damage-per-cycle number.
There is also an opportunity cost. Stardust, Candy, XL Candy and a team slot spent on an unranked experiment cannot be spent simultaneously on a proven option. That does not make experimentation wrong; it means the decision should be deliberate. If you need a reliable team for a current competitive format, prioritize options with current ranking or simulation support. If you are collecting unusual teams or already own the right specimen, test Brambleghast before deciding whether further investment is justified.

What could change the verdict
The conclusion is a 2026 data snapshot, not a permanent tier placement. A move rebalance, a new charged move, a change to energy mechanics or a shift in the surrounding metagame could alter Brambleghast’s value. Recheck current league rankings and move data after balance updates. Also verify the exact game-version values before comparing Bullet Seed, Shadow Sneak or Night Shade, because Pokémon GO Hub and Serebii currently display different PvP figures for some of them.
The pages used for this assessment do not disclose a specific game-version date or geographic scope for the Brambleghast tables. That limits how precisely the numbers can be dated. A future database refresh may add a ranking, revise a move field or remove one, so keep the snapshot label attached to any notes or video using these figures. The safe conclusion today is conditional: Brambleghast is an experiment without an established open-league ranking, and Hex plus Power Whip is the leading pairing only within the displayed Pokémon GO Hub cycle table.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Brambleghast good in Pokémon GO PvP?
It is not an established ranked choice in Great, Ultra or Master League in the checked 2026 Pokémon GO Hub snapshot. It may win individual battles, but no reviewed simulation or usage data demonstrates a dependable open-league role.
What is Brambleghast’s best league?
No source establishes a best league. Pokémon GO Hub reports no ranking information in all three open leagues, so the Great, Ultra and Master League build figures should be treated as cap-fitting calculations rather than recommendations.
What is the best Brambleghast moveset?
Hex plus Power Whip has the highest displayed damage-per-cycle value in Pokémon GO Hub’s table, at 94. That is a database comparison, not proof of competitive superiority, and move values should be checked against the current game version.
Are Brambleghast’s move stats consistent across databases?
No. Pokémon GO Hub and Serebii agree on much of the listed move power but differ on Bullet Seed’s PvP power and on the energy shown for Shadow Sneak and Night Shade. Do not mix values from both tables when calculating efficiency.
What IVs does Brambleghast need?
Pokémon GO Hub lists 0/15/15 at level 23 and 1497 CP for Great League, 0/15/15 at level 47.5 and 2499 CP for Ultra League, and 15/15/15 at level 50 and 2745 CP for Master League. These are build calculations, not evidence of a ranked role.
Should I spend XL Candy or Stardust on Brambleghast?
Usually not for a resource-efficient open-league roster unless you specifically want to experiment. Test a suitable specimen first, compare it with the Pokémon it would replace, and avoid investing solely because it reaches a listed CP target or has a favorable cycle number.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Brambleghast has no established Great, Ultra or Master League ranking in the checked 2026 data, so there is no evidence-based best league. If you still want to test it, use the relevant listed IV and CP target, verify current in-game move values, and begin with Hex plus Power Whip because it leads Pokémon GO Hub’s displayed cycle comparison. Keep the experiment small until your own consistent results show a role worth the investment.
