Legacy player Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer said teammate Andrei “arT” Piovezan was “getting much better” and was probably coming to Malta to play at the Thunderpick World Championship. His wording expressed an expectation, not confirmation that arT attended or played.
What did dumau say about arT’s recovery?
In an interview published by HLTV on October 2, 2026, dumau said: “Yeah. Now we had good news. He’s getting much better, and he’s probably coming to Malta to play at Thunderpick.” He described learning that arT was ill as a shock, and mentioned former teammate Matheus “bruttJ” Queiroz, who had died of meningitis.

HLTV reported that arT had contracted meningitis and was missing ESL Pro League Season 24. Dumau’s comments are an interview account of encouraging news, not a medical bulletin; they do not provide further details about arT’s condition or prognosis.
Was arT confirmed for the Thunderpick World Championship?
No. Dumau said arT was “probably coming to Malta,” which indicates an expectation rather than confirmed attendance or participation. The interview does not establish whether arT ultimately travelled to Malta or played at the event.

How did Legacy handle arT’s absence at ESL Pro League?
Legacy used analyst Pedro “bobz” Rocha as a stand-in during ESL Pro League Season 24. Dumau said bobz would call, while the other players would help one another with calls and communicate around the map. That was Legacy’s workaround for the tournament, not confirmation of a permanent change to the team’s leadership.
What was Legacy’s team context at the time?
At the time HLTV published the interview, Legacy were coming off a FISSURE Playground victory and had risen to number two in the VRS. That position is the ranking reported on October 2, 2026, not a current ranking. Dumau said the team was taking tournaments one at a time and still had room to improve.
