Is a Dark Souls sequel officially confirmed and available now?
Not according to the official pages reviewed on October 7, 2026. Bandai Namco describes Dark Souls III as “the latest chapter” in the series and “the final journey,” and lists it as available now. That is an official availability listing for Dark Souls III, not an announcement that a new sequel has launched. Bandai Namco’s Dark Souls III page

What is The Duskbloods?
The Duskbloods is a separate FromSoftware game, not a confirmed Dark Souls follow-up in the official portfolio. FromSoftware lists it as a multiplayer action game with a 2026 release window and online play for up to eight players. The “up to eight” figure is a player-cap detail, not a sales or popularity statistic. FromSoftware’s official portfolio
The portfolio listing establishes how the game is categorized there; it does not rule out the possibility of a Dark Souls announcement in the future. It simply does not support describing The Duskbloods as a Dark Souls sequel or saying it is already available.
