Which phone is faster?
The listed chipset gives the iQOO Neo 10R the stronger performance position: it uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the Redmi Note 17 5G is listed with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. A comparison page also reports higher Geekbench figures for the iQOO, but those are secondary-site results, not independent testing presented here. Battery capacity and charging: check the regional Redmi specification
The Neo 10R is listed with a 6,400 mAh battery and 80 W charging. Xiaomi’s global and UK pages specify 7,700 mAh typical and 45 W charging, while Xiaomi India’s specification result lists 8,000 mAh. Check the specification page for the exact market and model being sold rather than assuming one Redmi capacity applies everywhere. Battery capacity does not, by itself, establish real-world endurance.
On the listed charging rates, the iQOO supports faster wired charging. For the UK Redmi model, Xiaomi says the adapter is not included and recommends a compatible 45 W PD adapter or its own 45 W adapter; included accessories can differ by market.

Camera hardware: compare the lenses, not just megapixels
The comparison listing gives the Neo 10R a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide, plus a 32 MP front camera. Xiaomi’s UK specifications list a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP secondary rear camera, and a 16 MP front camera. Those counts describe resolution and camera configuration, not image quality. No direct camera test is available here to establish which phone takes better photos or video.
Software and security-update support
Xiaomi’s global Redmi Note 17 5G product page advertises “6 years of security updates.” That is Xiaomi’s stated security-update period on the global page.
