On paper, the iQOO Neo 10R and TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G are closely matched. Both use 6.78-inch AMOLED displays and offer 8GB or 12GB of physical RAM. The differences are concrete: the iQOO Neo 10R lists faster charging (80W against 45W) and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G lists a slightly larger battery (6500mAh against 6400mAh), a 50MP optically stabilised main camera, a 13MP selfie camera against iQOO’s 32MP, and 256GB and 512GB storage tiers. No current price winner can be named from the evidence available. The only price figure is an undated listing snapshot that does not compare matched variants.
Specs at a glance
The table below sets the two phones side by side using the figures each manufacturer publishes. The iQOO column reflects its India product listing, and the TECNO column reflects its global technical specification page, so local configurations may differ from what is shown. Both sources were checked on 7 October 2026.

The price difference: what the evidence supports
A 91mobiles comparison listing, captured around the time of research in early October 2026, showed the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G at ₹49,999 and the iQOO Neo 10R as out of stock. That is the only price data point available, and it cannot be read as a price gap for three reasons:

- The snapshot is undated beyond its capture window, and it does not show whether discounts, bank offers or seller-specific pricing were included.
- It covers a single market. Prices on the iQOO side are India-specific, and TECNO’s global specification page does not establish local pricing anywhere.
Before comparing prices, check each item below on the same day, in the same market:
- Confirm the country, and use the seller’s own listing page for that country.

Processor and memory
iQOO Neo 10R: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3
The iQOO Neo 10R is listed with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 8GB or 12GB of RAM, with 128GB or 256GB of storage. Those are the configurations shown on iQOO’s India listing.
TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G: Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G
The TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G, a 4nm chip listed at up to 2.6GHz with a Mali-G615 MC2 graphics unit. TECNO’s RAM options combine 8GB or 12GB of physical memory with extended memory. Extended memory is a software allocation, not additional RAM, so the comparison should use the 8GB and 12GB physical figures only. Storage options are 256GB and 512GB.
Rank #2
- [360-degree rotatable ring mount] – with multi-angle support, it makes watching videos and films both convenient and comfortable, offering an enviable viewing experience.
- 3D multi-directional shape change, depending on different light and angle
- PC hard back panel + soft silicone frame + four corners Shock Airbags
- The frosted surface prevents most fingerprints and the 3D design is stylish
- The ring mount features a magnetic ring, allowing you to use it in your car or for other magnetic applications
Neither listing establishes which chip delivers better real-world speed, sustained performance or gaming behaviour. Chip names and clock speeds alone do not settle that question, and the sources reviewed do not include a controlled benchmark of the two phones.
Display
Both phones use 6.78-inch AMOLED panels, but the resolutions differ: 2800 × 1260 on the iQOO Neo 10R and 2644 × 1208 on the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G. iQOO’s listing offers 120Hz, 60–90Hz normal scenario modes and 144Hz for selected games. Its product page also promotes the panel as 1.5K with 144Hz refresh. TECNO lists four refresh modes (144, 120, 90 and 60Hz), Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and brightness figures of 700 nits normal, 1600 nits high brightness mode and 4500 nits peak.
Peak brightness figures measure different things and are not interchangeable with everyday outdoor readability. The 144Hz figure is a maximum for supported games on the iQOO listing, and it is not a constant refresh rate. The practical difference between the two screens depends on how you use them, and it cannot be settled from the manufacturer figures alone.

Cameras
Rear cameras
Both phones pair a 50MP main camera with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The TECNO listing specifically describes the main camera as optically stabilised (OIS) and as using a Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, according to TECNO’s product overview. The iQOO India listing reviewed does not mention optical stabilisation. Stabilisation affects low-light and video steadiness, which is why it is the most meaningful hardware difference on the rear.
Front camera
The iQOO Neo 10R lists a 32MP selfie camera and the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G lists 13MP. A higher megapixel count does not guarantee better selfies, because pixel size, processing and lighting all affect the result.
No controlled camera test establishes which phone takes better photos. Compare sample images from independent reviewers before deciding on camera priorities.

Battery and charging
iQOO Neo 10R
iQOO lists a 6400mAh typical battery and 80W charging. The product page states that the phone reaches 50% charge in 26 minutes under test conditions iQOO specifies. Those conditions are not reproduced in the sources reviewed, so treat the 26-minute figure as iQOO’s claim.
TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G
TECNO lists a 6500mAh battery and 45W charging. TECNO’s product overview also presents battery-health and endurance claims. These are TECNO’s own statements, not independent results.

Software and updates
The iQOO Neo 10R’s India listing shows Funtouch OS 15 on Android 15. The TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G’s specification page shows HiOS 16 on Android 16. These are the version labels on the pages checked on 7 October 2026. Update timing varies by market and model, so the version a phone ships with or receives later depends on where you buy it. Check the update commitments for your market before you buy.
Trade-offs that matter before buying
- Charging speed: If you charge rarely and in short sessions, the difference between 80W and 45W matters less than if you need a fast top-up between appointments.
- Storage tier: If 128GB would fill quickly, the TECNO’s 256GB and 512GB options may be the more practical comparison. The iQOO Neo 10R’s 256GB variant is the equivalent point.
- Main camera stabilisation: If you shoot video handheld or in dim conditions, stabilisation on the main lens is a specific hardware feature to weigh.
- Selfie priorities: If you rely on the front camera for video calls or self-portraits, check sample images rather than relying on the megapixel count.
- Durability: If you need a rated level of dust and water resistance, the TECNO listing states an IP rating, and the iQOO listing reviewed does not.
- Local support: Warranty length, service network and update policy depend on the seller and market. The sources reviewed do not establish these for either phone in your country.
What the evidence does not settle
- The current like-for-like price difference, live stock levels and the seller offering each phone.
- Which phone performs better in daily use or gaming, since no matched independent benchmark is available.
- Which phone produces better photos or has better battery life in practice.
- TECNO’s local warranty, sales variants and update policy in any particular country.
Any of these points can change with a new listing or software release, so check them at the point of purchase.
The Bottom Line
Choose the iQOO Neo 10R if fast charging and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset matter most, and the 8GB/128GB or 12GB/256GB configuration is available at a competitive local price. Choose the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if you want 256GB or 512GB storage, optical stabilisation on the main camera, a slightly larger battery, or a rated durability specification. Compare the exact configuration, market and seller before deciding, since the price difference cannot be judged from the available data.
