The iQOO 15R and POCO F9 Ultra are premium Android phones with fast displays, large batteries and high-end chipsets, but they differ in screen size, camera hardware and wireless charging. There is no reliable universal price gap: the available prices refer to different countries and sources, so compare current local listings for the same storage configuration.

These are published specifications, not a head-to-head performance or battery test. The iQOO figures come from its India product page, while regional configurations may vary. POCO specifications and support details above are attributed to TechRadar’s dated review.

Which phone has the better display?
The POCO’s 6.9-inch screen gives more space for video, games and reading than the iQOO’s 6.59-inch display. The iQOO specifies a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. TechRadar lists the POCO panel as 1200 × 2608 and says 185Hz is available in compatible games, with refresh generally reaching up to 120Hz otherwise. The 185Hz figure is therefore not a general refresh rate for every app or game.
Performance: what the chipset names do—and do not—tell you
The iQOO 15R uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the POCO F9 Ultra is listed with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both are positioned as high-end chips, but the names alone do not establish which phone is faster in sustained gaming, everyday use or demanding workloads. No independent head-to-head benchmark is established here.

iQOO Indonesia says an internal test involving five hours of a MOBA game at maximum graphics, up to 144 FPS, reached a maximum temperature of 43°C. That is a company test, not an independent result or a comparison with the POCO. iQOO also reports that an hour of simultaneous online meeting, screen sharing and video calling used 5% battery at 33°C; those conditions should not be treated as a general battery-life estimate (iQOO Indonesia launch announcement, 25 February 2026).
Battery and charging differences
The POCO has the larger stated battery capacity: 8,050mAh versus 7,600mAh typical for the iQOO. iQOO’s product page also gives a rated capacity of 7,440mAh. Capacity figures do not predict screen-on time by themselves; display settings, signal conditions, workload and software all affect runtime.

Both list 100W wired charging, while the POCO review also specifies 50W wireless charging. The cited iQOO specifications do not list wireless charging. TechRadar’s review reports real-world POCO observations, but the available evidence does not provide a standardized, directly comparable battery test for both phones.
Camera systems: more lenses on POCO, simpler setup on iQOO
The POCO’s rear system adds a dedicated 50MP 5x telephoto camera to its 200MP main and 50MP ultra-wide cameras. That gives it a stated long-range optical camera option absent from the iQOO’s listed dual-camera rear setup: a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Megapixel counts and lens count do not establish which phone takes better photos. They describe hardware, not image processing, low-light quality or consistency. The listed front cameras are 32MP on both phones; actual results depend on more than resolution.
Price difference: compare within one country and configuration
The available figures are not like-for-like retail prices, so subtracting them would produce a misleading answer. iQOO Indonesia announced a starting price of Rp7,299,000 for the iQOO 15R in Indonesia on 25 February 2026. That is a launch price for that market, not a current street price or a price for India or other regions (iQOO Indonesia announcement).

TechRadar’s 15 September 2026 review lists POCO F9 Ultra starting prices of $799, £899 and €1,099.99, but a passage in the same article gives £749 for the UK. Because those UK figures conflict, neither should be treated as a definitive UK price without checking POCO’s local store or a current retailer. The review’s US and euro prices also cannot be directly compared with the Indonesian iQOO launch price.
For a useful price-gap calculation, check both phones in the same country, for the same storage tier, from comparable sellers, and on the same date. Record whether either price depends on a promotion. The 91mobiles comparison page lists ₹53,990 for the iQOO 15R at Amazon, but listings can change and the page still calls the POCO “Upcoming”; its status is contradicted by TechRadar’s September 2026 hands-on review. Treat that listing as a lead to verify, not a current matched comparison (91mobiles comparison).

The iQOO 15R is confirmed in iQOO’s regional product information and its Indonesia launch announcement. The cited specifications are from iQOO India, so buyers should verify the configuration and support terms for their own market. The POCO F9 Ultra has launch-era review coverage dated 15 September 2026, notwithstanding the stale “Upcoming” label on 91mobiles.
For either phone, check the exact local variant, storage, included accessories, warranty and software-support terms before ordering. The cited pages do not establish that every market receives the same configuration or box contents.
