For buyers in India choosing between these phones, the iQOO 15 has the higher-tier named processor and a rear camera system that includes a 3x periscope telephoto. The Motorola Edge 70 Max costs less on the checked manufacturer listings and states an update commitment of up to three years of OS upgrades and five years of security patches. Those are specification and price advantages—not proof of which phone performs better in every real-world test.

What is the price difference in India?
On the checked listings, the iQOO 15 Apex with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage was ₹85,999, while Motorola showed ₹54,999 for the Edge 70 Max. That is a displayed difference of ₹31,000 as of October 7, 2026. It is not a like-for-like RAM comparison: Motorola lists both 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations, and the cited ₹54,999 price is not explicitly tied to one of them. Store offers, retailer prices and stock can change, so treat this as a dated manufacturer-listing snapshot rather than a guaranteed checkout price.

The iQOO 15 lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the Motorola Edge 70 Max lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The iQOO therefore has the higher-tier named platform on paper. That chipset distinction alone does not establish sustained gaming speed, heat management, or performance under a matched workload.

Motorola says the Edge 70 Max uses a vapor-chamber cooling system. Its launch announcement also reports CPU, GPU and NPU gains against a previous generation; those are Motorola’s comparisons, not independent results against the iQOO 15. For context only, 91mobiles’ comparison page reports benchmark and battery figures, but the captured information does not establish protocols, software versions, sample conditions or repeatability. Those numbers should not be treated as a controlled head-to-head verdict.
How do the displays compare?
Both phones have large, high-resolution AMOLED-class displays. iQOO lists a 6.85-inch, 3168 × 1440 AMOLED panel. Motorola lists a 6.8-inch, 1440 × 3168 Extreme AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The specifications make the Motorola refresh-rate ceiling explicit; they do not establish that one screen is brighter, more accurate or easier to view outdoors. Manufacturer brightness figures are claims, not independent measurements, and should not be compared as lab results.

Which camera hardware is more versatile?
The clearest hardware distinction is the iQOO 15’s specified 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. Its India store listing also names a 50MP main camera and 50MP ultra-wide, plus a 32MP front camera. Motorola identifies a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera, and its India product page lists an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP camera.
That gives the iQOO a clearly specified dedicated telephoto option in the cited listings. Camera megapixels and module types do not by themselves determine photo quality: image processing, focus, exposure and low-light performance require direct testing. The cited official pages do not provide a matched camera comparison.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers mean
Motorola lists a 7100mAh silicon-carbon battery, 100mAh more rated capacity than iQOO’s listed 7000mAh typical battery. iQOO specifies 100W wired and 40W wireless charging; Motorola specifies 90W wired and 25W wireless charging. These are manufacturer specifications, not a shared test of charging time or time away from an outlet. Capacity alone does not prove longer battery life, which also depends on display settings, signal conditions, software and workload.

iQOO lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and IP68/IP69 protection. The cited iQOO pages do not state an India update-duration commitment, so there is no basis here to claim its support period matches Motorola’s.

Motorola lists Android 16 and states up to three years of OS upgrades and up to five years of security patches. Its India page also lists IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings and MIL-STD 810H. These are manufacturer-stated software and protection specifications; they do not establish how either phone fares in independent durability testing.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the iQOO 15 if
- You prioritize the higher-tier named chipset.
- You want a specified 3x periscope telephoto camera alongside main and ultra-wide cameras.
- You value the higher listed wired and wireless charging rates.
Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Max if
- The lower price shown on Motorola India’s checked listing matters more than a matched-RAM price comparison.
- You prefer Motorola’s stated update window of up to three years of OS upgrades and five years of security patches.
- You want the slightly higher rated battery capacity or a display with a manufacturer-listed refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
These recommendations follow listed specifications and the dated India prices, not a controlled side-by-side assessment of camera output, battery endurance, thermals or long-term software experience.
