The Moto g max 5G costs far less in the price snapshots we checked and reported a longer battery result in one comparison test. Which one makes sense depends on whether the performance and camera gains are worth a price gap of roughly ₹47,000 to ₹49,000 on the listings compared below.
Current price difference in India
Prices for both phones move often, and the figures below come from different pages captured on different dates. Treat them as a snapshot rather than a current quote, and check the exact variant before you compare.

On the opened 91mobiles page, the difference is ₹47,301 (₹76,999 minus ₹29,698). Using the lowest iQOO 15 figure from Gadgets 360 (₹76,749) against the same Moto price gives ₹47,051. Using the Moto price from the search snippet (₹27,999) widens the gap to ₹49,000. The Gadgets 360 page does not list a Moto g max 5G price, so the Moto side of that comparison rests on the 91mobiles figures only.
Before you act on any of these numbers, confirm the RAM and storage configuration, the colour, the seller, and whether the offer includes bank or exchange discounts, since these change the final checkout price.

The iQOO 15 specifications come from iQOO’s official product and parameter pages, which list 12 GB + 256 GB, 16 GB + 512 GB, and 16 GB + 1 TB editions. Not every edition is necessarily sold in every market, so confirm the one you intend to buy. The Moto g max 5G specifications come from the 91mobiles comparison page. We did not find an official Motorola page for this model that confirmed them.
Performance and display
The chip gap is the largest technical difference between the two. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is a higher tier than the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and the 12 GB of RAM on the iQOO base configuration gives it more headroom for heavy multitasking and demanding games. The Moto’s 6 GB will handle everyday apps, but it leaves less room for background tasks.
The AnTuTu scores shown on the comparison page should not decide this choice. The 91mobiles figures for the two phones differ from numbers on other pages, and the iQOO’s own India page gives a different figure (4,186,917) without stating the year of the test. Use the chip tier, not a single benchmark number, to judge performance.

On screens, the iQOO’s 6.85-inch AMOLED panel runs at 3168 × 1440 with a refresh rate up to 144 Hz. The Moto’s 6.72-inch LCD runs at 2400 × 1080 and 120 Hz. The iQOO is the sharper and smoother display; the Moto’s screen is smaller in resolution but still a high-refresh panel.
Cameras and zoom
The iQOO 15 has three 50 MP rear cameras, including a periscope lens for optical zoom up to 3×. The Moto g max 5G has a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide, with no telephoto lens listed. If you shoot portraits, distant subjects, or want flexibility between wide, standard, and zoomed framing, the iQOO offers more options.
The comparison does not establish which phone produces better photos in typical conditions. Sensor size, processing, and low-light performance are not covered by the specification sheets, so judge camera quality from independent photo tests of each phone.

Battery life and charging
Battery capacity and test results
Both phones are listed at 7000 mAh. The 91mobiles comparison reports a PCMark battery test of 18 hours 15 minutes for the Moto g max 5G and 13 hours 7 minutes for the iQOO 15. These are results from one source and one test, not guaranteed real-world runtimes. A heavy user on the iQOO may see different results, particularly because its faster processor and higher-resolution display draw more power.
Charging speed
The iQOO 15 supports up to 100 W wired charging. iQOO’s India product specifications state: “With the official charger and USB cable, the product supports up to 100W FlashCharge.” iQOO also says charging power adjusts dynamically based on usage conditions, so the peak rate is not constant. This is a manufacturer statement rather than independent testing. The Moto g max 5G is listed at 30 W wired charging.
Wireless charging is listed for the iQOO 15. According to iQOO’s India page, the top wireless speed of up to 40 W requires the official dock, which is sold separately. The Moto comparison does not list wireless charging.

Storage
The iQOO 15 is listed at 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage in the comparison’s base configuration, and iQOO’s own parameter page lists higher editions at 512 GB and 1 TB. The Moto g max 5G is listed at 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. If you store large video libraries or games, the iQOO’s higher base capacity matters. If you rely on a microSD card, the comparison does not state whether either phone supports one, so check the official specification before buying.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the iQOO 15 if you want the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the higher-resolution AMOLED display, the periscope zoom, faster wired charging, or more base storage, and you can justify a price about ₹47,000 higher.
- Choose the Moto g max 5G if your priority is a much lower price and the longer battery result in the 91mobiles PCMark test. You accept an LCD panel, 30 W charging, 128 GB storage, and a rear camera setup without telephoto zoom.
- Consider neither at full price if you do not need the chip tier or zoom lens. The gap is large enough that comparing both with other phones in the same budget is worth doing.
Checks before you buy
- Open each listing and match the same RAM, storage, and colour before comparing prices.
- Note the checkout price, including any bank, coupon, or exchange offer, and the date you checked it.
- Confirm the phone supports the network bands used by your carrier in India.
- Check the seller’s stock status and return policy.
- Confirm the warranty and software update commitment with the brand before purchase, because this comparison could not verify Motorola’s regional warranty or software support for the Moto g max 5G.
What this comparison cannot confirm
- Launch date. The 91mobiles and Gadgets 360 pages give different release details for the iQOO 15, so no single launch date is established here.
- Real-world benchmark leadership. Synthetic benchmark scores differ across sources and test versions, so they do not establish a winner in games or everyday use.
- Review scores. The comparison page shows expert scores of 8/10 for both phones and user ratings of 4.7/5 for the iQOO (885 ratings) and 4.4/5 for the Moto (17 ratings). The rating counts are very unequal, so these figures are not a controlled head-to-head test.
- Regional availability and support. Official availability, warranty, and software-update terms for the Moto g max 5G in India are not confirmed by an official Motorola page in this comparison.
The iQOO 15 has the stronger listed hardware, and the Moto g max 5G has the lower listed price and the longer PCMark battery result. Which of those advantages matters more is a question of budget and use, and the listings above should be rechecked on the day you buy.
