The iQOO 15R is listed at a lower price in iQOO India’s current store comparison, while offering a newer listed processor and a larger battery. The iQOO 12 costs ₹11,000 more at the displayed prices, but that comparison is between a 16GB/512GB iQOO 12 and an 8GB/256GB iQOO 15R—not equivalent configurations. The iQOO 12’s clearest specification advantages are its dedicated 3x telephoto camera, larger screen and higher charging wattage.
iQOO 12 vs iQOO 15R: India price difference
The vivo/iQOO India comparison page, accessed on October 7, 2026, lists the iQOO 12 at ₹64,999 for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and the iQOO 15R at ₹53,999 for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. That is a displayed gap of ₹11,000, with the iQOO 12 higher. Because the configurations differ in both memory and storage, this is not a like-for-like price premium. These are store-listed prices, not a guarantee of street price or continued availability. See the iQOO India comparison and store listing.

Which is better for performance?
The iQOO 15R lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the iQOO 12 lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The 15R therefore has the newer named platform in these specifications, but processor generation alone does not establish how much faster a phone will feel in a particular game, app or workload.
#1 Best Overall
iQOO’s 15R overview cites an AnTuTu V11 score of 3,588,128 for the 12GB/512GB configuration, obtained by iQOO Labs. The company labels benchmark results as reference values and says actual scores can vary with configuration and test conditions. This is a manufacturer-reported result for one configuration, not an independent, directly matched comparison with the iQOO 12. The overview also describes comparison data against Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as based on Qualcomm’s official website. Read iQOO’s iQOO 15R overview and qualifications.
Battery capacity versus charging speed
The iQOO 15R has the larger listed typical battery capacity: 7600mAh versus 5000mAh for the iQOO 12. That makes the 15R the stronger specification choice for buyers prioritizing capacity, but capacity figures are not independent battery-life tests. Usage, settings and other conditions affect endurance.

For the iQOO 15R, official materials give two refresh-rate descriptions: its parameter page says 130Hz for normal scene, while its product overview advertises 144Hz. These figures describe different claims in iQOO’s materials; they should not be collapsed into a single guaranteed everyday refresh rate. The comparison page does not clearly state a directly comparable maximum refresh rate for the iQOO 12. Check the iQOO 15R parameter page.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

The comparison lists Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 for the iQOO 12 and Origin OS 6.0 for the iQOO 15R. These are different software experiences, so interface preference may matter as much as the listed hardware; the product pages do not establish a subjective winner.
For the 15R, iQOO states a “4+6” support plan: four generations of Android version upgrades and six years of security updates. This is the manufacturer’s stated plan, not a record of updates already delivered. See the iQOO 15R overview for the company’s wording.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the iQOO 15R if its listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, larger 7600mAh typical battery or lower store-listed price for the shown configuration matters most to you.
- Consider the iQOO 12 if you want the listed 64MP 3x periscope telephoto, a larger display, 120W charging or the higher-memory and higher-storage configuration shown in the comparison.
- Compare the exact configurations before paying. The displayed ₹11,000 difference is between 16GB/512GB and 8GB/256GB models, and does not settle what equivalent configurations cost.
The specifications establish different strengths, not a universal winner: choose based on the features and configuration you will actually use, then confirm the current India listing.
