The iQOO 15 is the stronger on-paper choice for a newer processor, a larger and sharper display, a bigger battery, wireless charging and higher listed water-and-dust protection. The iQOO 12 5G counters with a 64MP 3x periscope camera specification and faster stated wired charging. In India, the price gap is not settled by the available listings: the iQOO 15’s official store price was available for a specific configuration, while the iQOO 12 comparison-site listing was marked out of stock.

Where the iQOO 15 has the advantage
Newer processor generation
The iQOO 15 moves from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the iQOO 12 to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That is a newer platform on the specification sheet, but the listed specifications do not establish a particular benchmark uplift, sustained gaming advantage or improvement in every app. Those results depend on comparable testing and conditions.

Larger, higher-resolution display
The iQOO 15 has a 6.85-inch, 3168 × 1440 panel; the iQOO 12 has a 6.78-inch, 2800 × 1260 panel. Both are specified for refresh rates up to 144Hz. The iQOO 15 therefore offers more screen area and pixels, while refresh-rate figures alone do not establish how often a particular app or game will run at the maximum rate.
More battery capacity and wireless charging
The iQOO 15 lists a 7000mAh battery and supports 40W wireless charging, neither of which appears as an equivalent feature for the iQOO 12 in the comparison. The larger capacity does not, by itself, prove longer real-world runtime; workload, settings and testing conditions matter.

Higher listed ingress-protection rating
iQOO’s official iQOO 15 page lists IP68 and IP69, while 91mobiles lists IP64 for the iQOO 12. Confirm the exact regional model and rating before relying on this distinction. An ingress-protection rating is not a promise that liquid damage will be covered by warranty.

Higher-resolution 3x telephoto specification
The iQOO 12 lists a 64MP 3x periscope telephoto camera, compared with the iQOO 15’s 50MP 3x periscope unit. That is a resolution advantage on paper, not proof of better photos: sensor characteristics, processing and image samples are needed to judge camera quality. Both models also list 50MP main and ultrawide rear cameras.

Higher stated wired charging wattage
The iQOO 12 specifies 120W wired charging, compared with 100W wired charging for the iQOO 15. Wattage is not a direct charging-time comparison; the supplied specifications do not establish which phone reaches a given charge level sooner under the same test conditions.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the iQOO 15 on paper if your priorities are the newer processor generation, higher-resolution and slightly larger display, more listed battery capacity, wireless charging or the higher official protection rating.
- Consider the iQOO 12 if you specifically value its 64MP 3x periscope specification or 120W wired charging, and can find a reputable seller with current stock and clearly stated condition.
- Compare the exact listing before buying if price is decisive. The available snapshots do not establish a fair current price gap between two in-stock, equivalent configurations.
For both models, the India product pages show different software generations: Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 for the iQOO 12 and OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 for the iQOO 15. Check the handset’s current software version and the manufacturer’s update information for the precise model before making a long-term support decision; these page entries do not establish an update-duration comparison.
