When iPhone Duo pre-orders open
Apple’s October 15, 2026 newsroom announcement sets the opening time at 5:00 a.m. PT on Friday, October 16. That is 6:00 a.m. Mountain, 7:00 a.m. Central and 8:00 a.m. Eastern in the United States. Pre-orders are available on apple.com and in the Apple Store app.

Apple’s pre-order window is not the same as general availability. Orders placed during the window are scheduled against the October 23 launch, while inventory, configuration and delivery estimates can change as demand builds.

- Open Apple’s website or the Apple Store app. Sign in to the Apple Account you intend to use for the purchase and make sure payment and delivery information are current.
- Choose the iPhone Duo configuration. Apple lists 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. Select the model and storage level before adding accessories or a protection plan.
- Choose a purchase method. You can pay the full price, use Apple Card Monthly Installments if eligible, apply for Apple Upgrade leasing, or activate through AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon.
- Prepare a trade-in. Apple Trade In can apply an estimated value during checkout. Have the device’s model and condition details available, and keep the old phone until the new one arrives and the trade-in is accepted.
- Select delivery or pickup. Apple offers home delivery and Apple Store pickup where inventory permits. Pickup availability is store-specific and may differ from the delivery date.
- Review the order and submit it. Check the monthly payment, taxes, activation requirements, trade-in credit and delivery estimate before confirming.
The fastest one-click option
Apple says buyers who configure iPhone Duo, choose accessories, arrange financing or lease pre-approval and save the completed choices to their shopping bag by 9:00 p.m. PT on Thursday, October 15 can check out with one click when pre-orders open at 5:00 a.m. PT Friday. This is the key preparation deadline for customers who want to minimize form-filling at launch.

The $1,999 figure is a starting price, so a higher-capacity model, case, folio, AppleCare coverage, sales tax or financing conditions can increase the amount paid. A carrier offer may reduce the effective cost through monthly bill credits, but those credits generally depend on keeping the qualifying line and meeting the carrier’s conditions.
Trade-in and other ways to reduce the cost
Apple Trade In
Apple documents instant trade-in credit of $175 to $885 for eligible iPhone 13 or newer devices. The exact value depends on the model and condition Apple accepts. An instant credit reduces the transaction amount at checkout; it is different from a later promotional reimbursement.

The Apple Upgrade figure of $57.99 per month is the lowest published monthly route, but it describes a 24-month lease. Leasing can lower the monthly payment while leaving different end-of-term obligations than buying the phone outright or financing it. Compare the total scheduled payments, ownership status and upgrade conditions before selecting it.

What iPhone Duo includes
Apple describes iPhone Duo as a foldable iPhone with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display. Storage is available at 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. The phone has a 48MP dual Fusion camera system and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Those specifications help determine which configuration to reserve: 256GB is the entry point, while 1TB and 2TB are aimed at buyers who keep large photo, video or app libraries locally. The IP68 rating does not make a foldable phone indestructible, so a case remains a practical part of the budget.

Apple’s official two-part iPhone Duo Case is offered in sand and navy blue. Apple says it works with MagSafe, Qi2 25W and Qi-certified chargers. Confirm that a case listing is specifically for iPhone Duo rather than another iPhone model before ordering.

iPhone Duo Folio
The iPhone Duo Folio comes in navy blue and taupe and has an integrated kickstand for reading, viewing content and FaceTime. Its two-piece case and the folio serve different uses: the case emphasizes everyday protection and charging compatibility, while the folio adds a cover and hands-free viewing position.

Apple says AppleCare+ and AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss are available in supported markets. AppleCare One may extend protection across devices. Availability, pricing and coverage vary by market and eligibility, so review the offer shown during checkout rather than assuming every plan applies to every buyer.
Delivery and store pickup on October 23
Apple lists availability beginning October 23, 2026. Home delivery is the simplest option when a delivery estimate is acceptable. Store pickup can be useful if a nearby location receives the selected color, storage tier and financing configuration, but pickup inventory is not uniform. If pickup is unavailable, the checkout page will show delivery alternatives instead.
