Apple describes a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display. Its footnote gives the measured diagonals as 7.58 and 5.36 inches. It also says the actual viewable area is smaller than that standard rectangular measurement.

The phone uses the A20 Pro chip. Apple also lists vapor-chamber thermal management and a dual-battery architecture. Build and durability claims
Apple cites a Grade 5 titanium frame and hinge cover, IP68 water and dust resistance, Ceramic Shield, and a scratch-resistant inner display coating. These are manufacturer claims. No independent hinge-cycle, crease, drop or long-term reliability test had been published in the sources used here, so the launch specifications do not tell you how the phone will hold up over time.
Environmental figures
Apple reports 35 percent recycled content overall, 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery, 100 percent recycled titanium in the 3D-printed hinge cover, and 60 percent renewable energy in manufacturing across the supply chain. These are Apple’s own figures, not an independent lifecycle assessment.

Official accessories
| Accessory | India price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone Duo Case | INR 8,900 | Two-part design |
| iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand | INR 14,900 | Adds a kickstand |
Orders for both start on 16 October. Apple says they work with MagSafe, Qi2 25W and Qi-certified chargers (Apple Newsroom). With a foldable, the cost of protection is worth including in your budget.
Checks before you pre-order
- eSIM only: Apple says iPhone Duo is eSIM-only worldwide. Confirm that your carrier supports eSIM activation and that your current plan can be transferred.
- Trade-in: Apple mentions credit for eligible devices, subject to terms. Don’t count on a specific value until the order page shows your device’s quote.
- Partner stores: Stock, discounts and trade-in offers at partner retailers are not guaranteed by Apple’s announcement.
- Total budget: Add a case or folio, and a higher storage tier if you need one.
Should you pre-order before reviews?
Apple’s CEO John Ternus calls it “the most transformational change to iPhone since the original.” That is a promotional statement, not an evaluation. The risk that matters most with any new foldable is the hinge and the inner screen, and there is no independent evidence on either yet.

- [Compatible with iPhone Duo] This Phone Case Only Compatible with iPhone Duo case 7.6 inch.
- [Skin-Friendly] The back of the case is crafted with a skin-touch matte finish, which feels smooth and non-slip in your hand. Unlike glossy surfaces that attract fingerprints and smudges, this matte texture stays clean with minimal wiping, while its soft tactile sensation enhances holding comfort for long periods.
- [Magnetic Craft] The built-in magnetic ring can strengthen the magnetic absorption, empowering the case to be compatible with wireless charger, magnetic car mount, magnetic battery bank, magnetic wallet, and most MagSafe accessories. The perfectly aligned magnets enable wireless charging faster and safer than ever. Wireless charge on with the case on.
- [Shock Protection] Withstanding the rigorous 10-foot military-grade drop test, it builds a solid defense for your device, and can easily resist the damage caused by violent impacts and accidental drops.
- [Precise Cutout] Precise cutout fits the volume buttons, side button, and curves of your device without adding bulk. It is a more lightweight case with a firm and comfortable grip.
If you need the phone on day one, pre-order and use your return window to test the crease, the hinge feel and your carrier’s eSIM setup. If you can wait, the sensible approach is to hold off until independent durability and battery tests appear. Pre-orders open on 16 October and sales begin a week later, so reviews may arrive soon after.
If you’re comparing it with another foldable, look at India price by storage tier, thickness and weight, inner and outer screen usability, app support, camera zoom, charging, warranty and repair coverage, and independently tested durability. Apple’s pages don’t give enough to name a winner on those points.
