Their India prices in the available official information are not directly comparable: ₹82,900 was Apple’s 2025 launch starting price, while ₹59,999 was the vivo Store listing for the 12GB+256GB X200T observed on October 7, 2026. Check current prices for matching storage before treating the difference as a deal.
How do the iPhone 17 and vivo X200T compare?
The X200T is the larger, heavier phone and has three 50MP ZEISS rear cameras, including a dedicated telephoto camera. The iPhone 17 is more compact and has two 48MP rear cameras; Apple describes its main camera as offering optical-quality 2x telephoto framing. These are hardware distinctions, not independent evidence that one phone takes better photos or runs faster.

What is the price difference in India?
Apple’s India launch announcement in 2025 set the iPhone 17 starting price at ₹82,900. That is a launch price, not a verified current selling price. On October 7, 2026, vivo’s official India store displayed the X200T 12GB+256GB in Seaside Lilac at ₹59,999, against an MRP of ₹79,999. The store price is a dated listing and can change.

For a fair comparison, check live prices for both phones at the same storage capacity and distinguish current selling prices from launch prices, MRP and temporary offers.

Which phone suits your priorities?
Consider the vivo X200T if
- You want the larger 6.67-inch display and do not mind a phone weighing 203g or 205g, depending on colour.
- You value a dedicated telephoto camera and want the flexibility of three listed rear-camera lenses.
- Fast charging is important: vivo lists 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. The company says the standard charger is included in the package, but confirm the India package contents with the seller before relying on that.
- You prefer Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and the listed 12GB RAM configuration.
Consider the iPhone 17 if
- You want a shorter, narrower and lighter phone: Apple lists it at 177g.
- You prefer iOS and Apple’s software ecosystem, or specifically want the A19 platform and Apple Intelligence features described on Apple’s product page.
- You are comfortable with two rear cameras and optical-quality 2x framing rather than a separately listed telephoto camera.
- You want Apple’s stated video-playback estimate, while recognizing that it is not a direct battery-life comparison with vivo’s capacity figure.
What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
Battery capacity is not a runtime ranking
The X200T’s 6200mAh typical capacity and higher stated charging wattages are useful specification differences, but they do not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use. Apple’s cited specifications do not provide an iPhone 17 mAh figure. Apple’s “up to 30 hours” video-playback claim and vivo’s capacity rating use different measures, so they should not be treated as a head-to-head battery test.
Camera counts and zoom claims are not photo-quality tests
The X200T has a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera; the iPhone 17 offers optical-quality 2x framing from its main camera. vivo also advertises up to 100× ZEISS HyperZoom. Those design and zoom claims do not establish which phone produces better results across portraits, low light, video or other situations; that requires independent testing.

Do not infer speed from chip names alone
The A19 and Dimensity 9400+ are different platforms, and the specifications listed here do not provide a controlled performance comparison. Choose based on your preferred operating system, ecosystem and actual workload rather than treating the processor names as a benchmark result.

Read display and resistance claims in context
The X200T has the larger stated panel, but the listed display sizes and resolutions do not establish that it is brighter: peak-brightness figures can use different methods. Likewise, vivo lists IP68 and IP69, while Apple states IP68 with a specific depth and duration under IEC 60529. Those differently worded ratings are not enough to declare a universal durability winner.

How to make a fair final choice
- Choose the storage tier you actually need—256GB or 512GB—and compare that same tier for both phones.
- Check current India prices and note whether each figure is a live selling price, launch price, MRP or conditional offer.
- Decide whether compact size and lower weight matter more to you than a larger display.
- Match the camera setup to your needs: dedicated telephoto hardware on vivo, or Apple’s dual-camera system with optical-quality 2x framing.
- Choose the operating system and ecosystem you prefer; the listed specifications alone do not determine a universal performance or value winner.
