In the India-facing comparison listing reviewed, the iPhone 17 is priced at ₹79,999 and the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ 5G at ₹47,999—a displayed difference of ₹32,000. These are listing prices, not guaranteed prices or official launch prices; check the seller, storage configuration, offers and applicable taxes before buying. The listing also gives Motorola the larger, faster-refreshing display and higher battery-capacity and charging figures, while the iPhone 17 is the more compact option in this pair. One important caveat: Motorola’s official support specifications reviewed are for the Edge 70 Pro, a separate model from the Edge 70 Pro+, so Pro+ details below are identified as comparison-listing figures rather than verified official specifications.

What is the key model-identity caveat?
Motorola India lists the Edge 70 Pro+ and Edge 70 Pro as separate models. The official Motorola support specifications available for this comparison are for the Edge 70 Pro, not the Pro+. Accordingly, the detailed Pro+ figures below come from the third-party comparison listing and should not be treated as officially confirmed Pro+ specifications. Motorola also notes that specifications can vary by market. Verify the exact model suffix and its local specifications before purchase. Motorola India’s Edge family listings.

Which phone has the bigger display?
On the comparison listing’s figures, the Motorola is larger at 6.8 inches versus the iPhone 17’s 6.3 inches, and its stated refresh rate is 144Hz versus 120Hz. That can make the Motorola the more appealing option on paper for a larger viewing area and smoother supported motion. Display size and refresh rate alone do not establish overall screen quality, and the Motorola figures are not independently verified here for the Pro+ variant.
Which has the larger battery, and what does that tell you?
The listing gives the Motorola a 6500mAh battery and 90W wired charging, compared with 3692mAh and 40W for the iPhone 17. Capacity and rated charging are separate specifications; neither establishes real-world battery endurance or how long a full charge takes under comparable conditions. Motorola’s support page states “Up to 51 hours of battery life” for the Edge 70 Pro. That is a manufacturer claim for the Pro, not an independent test or a Pro+ guarantee.

What do the camera specifications establish?
The comparison listing describes a dual rear-camera setup for iPhone 17—48MP main and 48MP ultra-wide—and three rear modules for Motorola: 50MP main, 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto. The listed telephoto gives Motorola an additional camera type on paper, but megapixel counts and camera count do not show which phone takes better photos or video. The sources reviewed do not provide matched independent camera tests, so choose based on verified sample images and the kinds of shots you take rather than resolution figures alone.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the iPhone 17 if
- You prefer the more compact phone in this comparison.
- You want to use iOS and value Apple’s apps, services or device ecosystem.
- You are comfortable paying the higher displayed listing price, after checking the current price and configuration.
Consider the Motorola if
- A larger display and higher stated refresh rate matter more to you.
- You want the lower displayed price and the listing’s higher battery-capacity and wired-charging figures.
- You prefer the listed three-camera rear configuration, including a telephoto module, while recognizing that this does not prove better image quality.
These are different operating systems, so account for app and service availability, your existing devices, transfer needs and familiarity. The reviewed product pages do not measure those personal factors, and the available sources do not establish a like-for-like battery or camera winner.
