In one India marketplace snapshot, the 256GB Samsung listing was ₹3,592 cheaper—but prices vary by seller and change over time. The right choice depends on preferred size, operating system, camera needs, and the live price for an equivalent configuration.

The specifications below come from 91mobiles’ comparison, a secondary source rather than a manufacturer specification sheet. They describe listed hardware; they do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use.

How different are the displays and sizes?
The Galaxy’s listed display is 0.6 inches larger diagonally and has a higher listed resolution. That makes it the more expansive option for reading, video, and multitasking. The iPhone’s 6.3-inch screen is the more compact choice if you prefer a phone that takes up less space in your hand or pocket. Both are listed at 120Hz, but size, resolution, and refresh rate alone do not determine overall display quality.
What do the camera specifications suggest?
The listed hardware gives Samsung two telephoto cameras—one at 3x and another at 5x—alongside a 200MP wide camera and 50MP ultrawide. The iPhone listing shows three 48MP rear cameras, including a 4x optical telephoto. This is a difference in camera range and configuration, not proof that one phone takes better photos or video. Megapixel counts and camera totals cannot establish low-light results, video quality, stabilization, or color rendering.

The comparison lists an 18MP front camera for the iPhone and a 12MP front camera for Samsung. Resolution by itself does not settle selfie or video-call quality. If camera or video work is central to your decision, look for current, controlled sample comparisons that cover the kind of shooting you do, including low light and video—not just specification tables.
Battery capacity and charging: what can you conclude?
The listing gives the Galaxy S26 Ultra a 5000mAh battery and 60W Super Fast Charging, compared with 3988mAh and 40W for the iPhone 17 Pro. Both are listed with wireless charging. These figures are not a direct measure of how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges from empty: real-world endurance and charging time depend on use and conditions. No comparative battery test is established by these specifications.

Performance, memory and storage
The comparison lists Apple A19 Pro with 12GB RAM for the iPhone and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12GB RAM for Samsung. It also lists maximum clock speeds of up to 4.26GHz and 4.61GHz, respectively. Those clock figures are not a fair cross-platform performance verdict; they do not show how the phones compare in particular apps, sustained workloads, or day-to-day responsiveness. Both entries show 256GB storage, so that is the capacity to match when comparing their prices.

Price difference in India: a snapshot, not a fixed premium
On the 91mobiles comparison page accessed on October 7, 2026, the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro appeared at ₹128,490 and the 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra at ₹124,898, both as Amazon listings in India. At that moment, the Samsung listing was ₹3,592 lower. These were observed marketplace prices—not verified manufacturer list prices or stable prices. Gadgets Now’s India comparison surfaced a different Samsung price, another reason not to treat comparison-site listings as a definitive market price.

For a useful like-for-like check, compare the same storage capacity in your country and account for seller, taxes, discounts, and promotions. Do not apply the India snapshot as a price difference in another market or assume the same listings remain available.

Choose by size and handling
- Lean toward the iPhone if you want the smaller 6.3-inch display.
- Lean toward Samsung if you prefer a 6.9-inch screen and its higher listed resolution.
Choose by camera needs
- Samsung’s listed rear setup gives you separate 3x and 5x telephoto cameras.
- The iPhone’s listed rear setup includes a 4x optical telephoto and three 48MP rear cameras.
- For image quality, low-light shooting, or video creation, decide from comparable real-world footage and photos rather than megapixel counts.
Choose by software and workflow
Your existing operating-system preference, devices, services, and file-transfer habits can matter more than a small difference in a specification table. If Windows file transfer, gimbal use, or a video workflow is a deciding factor, verify that the exact phone and accessories you plan to use support your setup; the listed hardware does not answer those compatibility questions.

Choose after checking the actual price
Compare equivalent storage and current local listings from sellers you trust. The India marketplace snapshot gives Samsung a small price advantage at that moment, but it cannot establish which phone is cheaper for you now or in another country.
